Percy Jackson & The Olympians : The Lightning Theif

o-kay
soooo, it's been a while but this has been one of the most recent movies i've seen

holly jez

COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MOVIE

so have you read the book??? well hmmm here's my opinion as a reader watching the movie:

WHAT? JUST? HAPPENED?
okay well you might as well just throw away every single thing that you've read because it means absolutely nothing.

All the moments, adventures, points, character traits, settings, actions, relationships, characters in general
they mean nothing they're simply the titles used not the actual idea, story line or plot, its changed totally the parts your waiting for NEVER happen, it doesnt happen out of order it just does NOT happen, it doesnt get traded in for something pointless but just absent and it becomes uneeded because the whole thing is different.

It is not a disappointment, simply not the book, the names are the same, the fact Percy is Posidens son is the same, all the characters act differently though, the settings are completely different too, the idea I had believed that the author wanted to capture in his book was definietly thrown out the window.

ohhh so you haven't read the book??? well here's my opinion as simply a viewer :

> great movie.
> affects were really cool.
> damn Percy and Annabeth should really hook up(as boyfriend and girlfriend dont be getting the wrong idea).
> the plot was not bad there was so much it felt a little rushed though.
> the characters were pretty funny.
> grover is such a wanabe player.
> it was casted really well couldn't really picture the parts played by anybody else.
> the Gods and Olympus were really awsome looking and it had the complete greek feeling to it.
> the action was really well laid out at the right points too.

At least I have the book because the story is sooooooo good on its own it doesnt need to be a movie.
