There's Nothing Good About Good-Bye... [Mikey Way-Part 1]

Part 1.

"Mikey.... don't, please! I didnt mean to hur-" I pleaded before being cut off by his innocent childlike voice.
"It doesnt matter. You can't take back what you did. I'm leaving for tour today. We'll talk when I get back from Germany, tell Liza I love her. I gotta go, Winnie. Bye."
"Bye." I said to the dial tone.
'How could i could do this to him? How could i hurt the man i love with every ounce of my being? And now i broke his heart, and my heart as well. All because i got carried away with my drinking AGAIN. What else could possibly compell me to sleep with any other man than Mikey? I love him so much. He's the father of my daughter for God sakes. Thing's have to get better. They HAVE to. Or I'll make them.'
I sat on the edge of my bed, numb to the hot tears streaming down my face.
I flipped open my phone again and punched in a number-

"Hello?!" A chipper voice answered.
"Lacey...-" I sobbed into the phone "-I f***ed up again..."
"Oh, sweetie, baby, Winnie, Tell me whats going on!" She said, concern emerging from her voice.
I took in short little gasps of breath, struggling to breath from crying so hard.
"I drank last night... and drank and drank and drank...and..." I paused attempting to form the rest of my sentence "-I slept with some guy from the Club..and M-m-mikey f-found out."
Lacey's compassion seeped through the phone-
"Oh, Winnie. People make mistakes. Don't worry sweetie. Really, don't. You and Mikey are soulmates. Things will work out in time."
My lip quivered.
"H-how can things work out i-if hes gone in Germany for 3 months?!" I cried out in agony.
She maintained her dignifyed tone-
"Because he'll have time to sort things through in his mind. And he'll realize it was an honest mistake. He knows he could never live without you. He tells me everytime we talk."
"He does?" I asked- my heart beating abnormally fast.
"Of course he does, silly." she said warmly.
"Thanks Lacey... I luff you." I told her, trying to hide the sadness in my voice.
"Luff you too Winnie." She said, and we hung up the phone.
