I would say that the characters from Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun are the best part of the story. All of the characters are especially unique. This is a list of the main characters:

• Yuzan Yoshida(Haru's Brother)

• Sohei Sasahara(Sasayan)

• Takaya Mizutani(Shizuku's Brother)
• Iyo Yamaguchi(Yamaken's Sister)
• Yu Miyama(Oshima's Friend)
• And of course Nagoya(Rooster)

If you haven't read the manga and only watched the anime, then you may not know some of the characters. The anime doesn't have the full story, sadly.

All of the characters are very different from each other. I think that makes the story exciting and funny. Haru's personality changes a lot throughout the story because of Shizuku, and vice versa. In the begining Haru didn't trust people and acted before thinking. Then, later on in the story he became a lot nicer and trusting. Shizuku had only cared about studying in the begining, but later on she realized that there is a lot more to life. Natsume is always worried about boys liking her because she is cute, so she disguises herself on the internet to make more friends. Sasayan is close friends with those three and plays baseball. Later on in the story he confesses to Natsume. Yamaken is smart like Shizuku, but is a lot different. He is a lot more self centered and doesn't really express any emotion. In the story he falls for Shizuku and Haru and Yamaken fight over her. Oshima is nice and friendly and is friends with Haru, Shizuku, Natsume, Sasayan, and Yu. Oshima falls for Haru but doesn't want to get in the way of him and Shizuku. Iyo is yet another person who is in love with Haru but is selfish. And the last character I will talk about is Nagoya. Nagoya is a Rooster Haru brought to school and just makes the story even funnier.
