Meet Tessa Manami, a young girl who has lived in the same town all her life. She's gone to the same school, has known the same people, and has done the same things for as long as she could remember. Sure-consistancy was nice-but every once in a while, Tessa daydreamed of something different happening, something life-changing.

Tessa was seventeen years old, a junior in highschool. She had a select group of friends, but other than that, no one really knew who she was. Except for her father, of course. This downward spiral of boredom and solitude had started ever since her mother disappeared three years ago. The incident was horrible enough to make her father, who used to be a well-known and respected business man, to shut down and ignore the rest of the world for good...

Other than that, Tessa's life was normal. Until one day she decided to take a short-cut after school. She wanted to get home faster for a reason she forgot she had and got lost. Her friends had parted their ways and she suddenly found that she was by herself. Tessa wondered on into a dark alley way, only to become more lost. The sun was slowly sinking down into the horizon, and stars were appearing. She had no ideas where she was.

"Hello!" She shouted into nothingness, "Is anybody there?" No asnwer. She was alone, lost. Suddenly everything went black. Time seemed to freeze around her. It was almost like being stuck in limbo. Then, she heard somebody laugh.

"So, you're the one with the connection... interesting." A voice Tessa had never heard before said. She glanced around nervously. What happened? Where was she? "Who are you?" She asked. Could the one with the voice be the source of the blackness?

The silhouette of a tall man shoulder-length hair appeared before her. "Who are you?" She asked again. The man smirked. "I am the Sailor of Darkness, Shingeru." He said in a deep voice. Tessa felt the hairs on the back of her neck stick straight up. The man had an uneasy aura around him, and it frightened Tessa.
