Since escaping jail my life has been way too active. I'm not complaining but I do wonder when I sleep sometimes. Two months is not that much time and I've got a while longer still. So I can't help but wonder what LL and the Black hand were thinking when they had me wipe out my branch. I really don't have anything against killing as you all should know, but in the end, it really left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Except killing that tw... rich little human girl. She needed to die. That aside, I can't help wonder if such an extreme measure was needed for just one traitor. And it wasn't just my branch that got wiped. LL wouldn't tell me the details but at least two others were purified.
I had spent the next couple days after slumped down in a shack I bought up in Bravil after a particularly difficult job. I didn't want to go back to my usual home. I knew Niina would wonder and worry when she found that no one was there anymore and didn't have the heart to tell her that I was promoted for the massacre.
If I was old enough, I'd get piss drunk but I ain't so I didn't. But at the end of the week, I knew I couldn't keep away from my new position so I went to see Niina.
I found her in the upstairs of the house as usual. She was reading some book from a Morrowwind author. When she saw me she just about tackled me. She was happy to see me, I guess. When I told her what had happened, she took it rather well. Told me she kinda figured it was something like that. When I asked her why LL spared her, she just smiled and said it was a secret... To each their own.
I make this look good.
So, yeah. She apparently had another outfit for me already. And I think she's getting better. It was easy to move in and went well with the wings she gave me earlier. It was also enchanted with a spell that kept me warm in the cold. She also gave me a special shield that LL left with her years ago. Said it was enchanted and would only work in certain places and times. Or that's what he told her.
I really do wonder about their relationship. But that might be akin to walking in on my parents when they are in heat.
I'm going to miss the run down hole.
Niina told me she'd be hanging around the house, since it was hers, sort of. I gave her a key to my place should she need somewhere else to stay and told her she could also keep some of her supplies there as well. She's been a good friend and as long as I've got her, might as well keep her around. Though I don't think she'll stay anywhere but in her usual place. She's weird like that.
In the end, should the Brotherhood collapse or something like that, there are other guilds I can try and what not. There is also that nagging mission that that dumb butt monk gave me. Maybe I'll do that. Finish that damn thing and be done with what that old creeper of a Emperor started.
