No, really?!
So, as I had guessed the guy was still in town. Apparently he can't go with out his daily night cap. I tell you, whenever I get around to being able to drink, I ain't ever going to be the kinda girl who just needs to drink.
Anyway, I walked right up to his smug butt and gave him a piece of my mind. Strangely, he didn't deny anything; he just seemed annoyed at being called out.
A bit slow in the getting out.
After some back and forth about responsibility, and a flash of my very sharp sword, I got him to agree to deal with the whole haunting problem. It would seem that only family blood can open the seal in the basement and what lies beyond the seal is the core of the problem. I have to wonder sometimes whether I have some strange attraction quality for the supernatural. Everywhere I go there are vampires, zombies, ghosts, necromancers, etc. I mean this could just be the way of the world. I have been locked up most my life. Still... Come on!
Once he finished he third ale I finally got him out of the bar and to the house. As expected there were more wraths. The guy was hopeless in a fight so it was up to me to get us to the basement safely. This is becoming more trouble that I thought it would be when I started the whole revenge mission.
He just knew the words. Surprised I am not.
My guess is that most of the family has at some time dabbled in necromancy and/or the same perversions that my late master had. It's no wonder that the family was so dysfunctional. The world will be better off without the lot of them. Gotta love the irony of it all. The emperor and his knights are all pushing me to save the world and, little do they know, my way is a dark and bloody path. The kind of path I'm supposed to be stopping from happening.
