Tis that time of year again when Christmas music and decorations fill our shopping experience. It makes my head hurt.
Anyway, with the family holiday coming upon us I have been preparing for the meal. Last year it was my brother who took the lead. Now, while I don't think I can out do his smoked turkey, ham and brisket combo, I am ready to pave my own unique meal. Three large crockpots, turkey sausage, ham, turkey breasts and 3 dozen eggs. That is my starting point. I figure that this is the best way to redeem myself for my first Thanksgiving back in the states. I was just cooking for myself since everyone was elsewhere, but they had gifted me a whole turkey. I failed miserably in cooking it. I still don't know what happened. And the clean up was a pain. Never again will I go conventional in my cooking! Or so I'd like to exclaim, but I need to learn the conventional to turn it otherwise.
Looking at it, I've spent a good portion of this month cooking for get-togethers. Not that I mind. Cooking is a passion of mine. I'm constantly looking for new things to try.
So, out of curiosity I googled anime and thanksgiving together. No real reason, just because. And what did I find? No connection what so ever! Wall papers and screen caps with sayings but no anime with thanksgiving. No surprise, right.
Part of me wants snow, cause at least it will bring a little moisture. The rest of me hates the fact that I have to drive in that snow when it comes. Le sigh!
