As always to start: New Adventure post
With that out of the way I shall continue my blog.
Over the weekend my unit had gotten a new member. A young guy, barely out of his specialty training. Now since he was placed in my current section, I was given the task of getting him set with all the access he needed. Now, like I always have while I work, my laptop was on my desk, music playing and the screensaver was cycling through one of my picture folders. Most of the time, and by that I mean almost always, no one knows what the pictures are from, no matter what folder I use.
Now on this particular day, the folder was my Touhou folder. So even if there are anime/game fans scattered in my unit, none of them know about Touhou. Well, not anymore. This kid recognized it right away. Like me, he plays these games with a strange obsessedness. The games are hard and can drive a person mad, but we can't stop loving it.
To top it off, my current music list was one full of piano and violin remixes of the Touhou series music. Once I asked him if he heard something he recognized, he was totally stoked. Then, like I always do with anime fans, I pull up my collection list. Again he was the first to have seen so many.
Just for this I owe the kid breakfast the next drill weekend.
