Omega

His name is Omega. He is an evil, ruthless God, who has lived for ages and thirsts for more power to enable his twisted plans. He defeats all who oppose him with his evil Mega Watt Sword and his search has led him to the Soul Calibur tournament. He's learned of the great power of the Soul Edge while slaughtering the people of a nearby village called Orth. A man told him of the power of the Soul Swords and where to find them as he begged Omega to spare his life, but Omega shows no mercy and the man shared the same fate as thle rest of the villagers. Omega is very powerful and combined with his agility make the mastery of his sword and his Dark Artes fighting techniques almost unstoppable.

His Dark Artes are:

Death Sight- He shoots Heat Beams out of his eyes, that would stop an average person dead in their tracks.

Blade of the Abyss- He can control Heaven and Hell with his sword, allowing him to summon any Natural Disasters from the Heavens and an army of undead warriors and monsters from Hell.

Critical Finisher: Dark Drain- He uses his Dark powers to summon Wraiths from Hell to drain the soul of his opponent.

Soul Calibur 4 Review

Soul Calibur 4 is the latest and greatest in the highly popular fighting series. It now touts beautiful HD graphics, Star Wars guest characters (Yoda 360, Darth Vader PS3 and The Apprentice on both systems) and great online play. This game also has an awesome custom character creator that allows you to customize just about everything facial features, body type, armor and weapons among other things. The equipment editor is great in almost every aspect, with the exception of losing the clothes off your back and falling victim to the Critical Finisher, a new and difficult move to perform, but it doesn't subtract from the great gameplay. When you finally achieve character creating greatness, it is extremely rewarding. These characters you make may also be used in any of the game modes. The game play aside from a few minor changes, like the Tower of Souls, is virtually the same as every other Soul Calibur game. You fight through various stages in one-on-one combat. There is both a Story Mode and Arcade Mode. The Story is five stages of combat with a various number of enemies and Arcade is eight stages with one enemy per stage that you must defeat twice.

Overall I give Soul Calibur 4 a 9 out of 10, because I think there's some room for improvement and I hope Namco Bandai has future plans to continue the series with Soul Calibur 5, so I can give it a 10.

Tales of Vesperia

Tales of Vesperia is a great way to kick off the Tales series in this generation of gaming. The graphics are stunning, the characters are interesting and the game is simply really fun to play. Hopefully, this will be the game that gets the Tales series noticed by people who think Final Fantasy VII was the last good RPG in gaming. -Hardcore Gamer Mag
