Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 review
Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 is in my opinion the best Naruto game available right now. I know some people might think that, because UN 3 was released on a last generation system (PS 2) that the game probably doesn't offer as much as it would if it were released on a next gen system. I own Naruto Rise of a Ninja for the XBOX 360, I like the HD graphics and not much else. I think Namco Bandai makes great anime games and they did great with the first two Ultimate Ninja games, but they decided to leave the UN series on the PS2 with a bang. I thought UN 2 was great, but they outdid themselves with UN 3. The 42 playable characters (after everyone's unlocked) are all great, I especially like the addition of the 1st, 2nd and 4th (Yellow Flash) Hokages. I wish some of the unlockable characters had more Ultimate Jutsu's (Special Moves), that's my only gripe. I've read alot of people's comments about breezing through the game in 5 or 6 hours, but there are quite a few more things to find and do. I should know, I've also finished the main part of the game. I keep on playing and I've played for over 40 hours now and keep finding new things to do like- training with Lee or Guy and tree climbing with Sakura, helping to find or capture various character animals, testing your shuriken aim with Ten Ten or trying your Naruto knowledge, playing the slots at Tanzaku Town or plain old fighting other characters and much more. I still like this game as much as the day I got it (March 26th) and will keep playing it long after this review. I played UN 2 for almost 90 hours and plan to play UN 3 for at least 100 hours, until I find everything there is to find. I like to find all the little things in a game, which is one of the reasons I will play this game so much. I'll also keep leveling up all of my favorite characters, like I did in UN 2, which is the main reason I logged so many hours playing. Currently Naruto is my highest character at level 30 and my favorite, because of the Nine Tailed Rasengan Ultimate Jutsu that when completed will allow you to play as Nine Tailed Naruto Fox mode 2, which in turn allows you to make quick work of your opponent. I'm leveling others like Sasuke, Neji and the 1st, 2nd and 4th Hokages which is why Naruto is only at Level 30. I think leveling up and fighting with those characters is what makes the replay value so high in my opinion. I'm a pretty big Naruto fan and maybe a little biased with my opinions of this game, not only is this a must have for Naruto fans, but non fans will also enjoy this game. -NarutoBebop
