The thing is, Ginny does break stereotypes. She's not the helpless girl who needs a man to save her. (The time with Tom Riddle's diary doesn't count. She was 11.) When Fred and George wouldn't let her play Quidditch with them, she snuck into the broomshed when they weren't looking and taught herself to fly. Even though Mrs. Weasley would clearly prefer her to be the stereotypical little girl, she rebels. At the final fight, she sneaks out of the Room of Requirement to fight. (In the book, not in the movie.) She can also do the strongest bat-bogey hex anyone has seen. As for her crush on Harry, she's an 11-year-old, everyone is prone to crushes/obsessions. I actually liked how her crush on Harry turned to real love when she actually got to know him. Her weakness with Tom Riddle's diary? I believe this is because, as the littlest (and a girl) in a large family, she was mercilessly teased and she was rarely listened to/taken seriously. So when Tom Riddle gave her the attention she craved, she grew more and more emotionally close to him. (I can forgive her this weakness--again, she was only 11).

Yeah, I liked how Neville grew from the clumsy, struggling, awkward boy into an honorable and capable man. No, I didn't see what happened to Luna at the end...I wish...

Yeah, Luna's the best character, definitely. I wanted to see the midnight premier, but no one would let my little brother go out that late. Wait, do they give you Harry Potter glasses or do they only give out regular 3D ones?

Well it won't make the movie better, but it could make your experience better while watching it. I hope that you will enjoy and be honest how you liked it (or not) there once you return and tell us about it. :)
Actually, most people say that 3D is just a gimmick, and my aunt says watching things in 3D make her nauseous...but I won't know until tonight. Maybe it does make the movie better.

No, don't worry. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Anyway, you're right, in the movie she was portrayed a bit differently than in the book.

Luna is definitely my favorite character. But I like Ginny too, for a lot of reasons.

@Sarasface:
Does 3D usually make it better? I guess that it should. That technology is not yet fully advanced, but I think that it is fun still nevertheless. :)

OK, I'll tell you how it was. I've already asked some people about it. Some people say 3D made it better, others say it took away from the movie.

You know, I would love to hear that. Because I never got the chance to watch something in 3D, so I would like to hear it from you~! :)
