I believe it's spelled Bronchitis. Thanks for the advice. I believe I have a checkup coming up soon. I'll mention it then. I don't cough as much during the day.

Well, allergies are basically the immune system overreacting. The immune system senses an everyday thing, such as cat hair, or dust, and sees it as a threat. So the body goes on the alert trying to get rid of the "threat." Since my allergies are mostly things that are inhaled/have contact with the skin, I get sneezing, coughing, itchy and watery eyes, and a runny nose as my body's attempt to get rid of the "threat", as well as an itchy rash on my skin, usually on my arms or face. I also often get an itchy mouth and throat. Allergies can also trigger asthma, which happens to me. Food/medicine allergies, I'm less familiar with, but I've gathered this--they can cause vomiting if eaten, another attempt to rid the body of the "threat", I'd guess. They can also cause horrible hives, facial swelling, and wheezing due to the throat or tongue swelling up. This is usually what happens with life-threatening allergies, such as peanut allergies--the tongue or throat swells badly enough to make breathing difficult or impossible, and this condition requires immediate treatment. Sometimes, if food allergies cause hives and/or swelling of the throat, the allrgic person doesn't even need to eat the food to get a reaction--just being near the food can do it. Shellfish allergies and peanut allergies seem to have that characteristic from what I've heard. I hope that this has helped.

Thanks. We should do that--in fact, the doctor wants us to--but Mom likes having a cat too much, and so does David. Plus, I have other allergies. It isn't just Acorn I'm allergic to.

Okay. If someone found a way to get rid of allergies, I think I'd be the happiest person on the planet.

Yeah...well, their first priority wouldn't be me, because my allergies are not life-threatening. But I hope they do find a way to get rid of them.

I wasn't at first...but last night I was. It's a really deep, painful cough though, and I've been finding it difficult to get a full breath lately.

Thanks. The real problem is my cough. At first I thought it was just my asthma, but...I don't know. It's getting worse.
