My personal blog world. Called The Labyrinth because life basically is one.

So. Me:

Name: Sara

****************************************

Age: 19 as of June 2

****************************************

Favorite color: I actually don't know. I like colorful things. Basically I'm like a bird when it comes to colors.

****************************************

Favorite numbers: 4, 16, 394.

****************************************

Works: Cashier at the dining center/market on my campus. I work with nice people and get free food. It's been good.

****************************************

Likes: Reading, writing, receiving compliments, drawing, listening to music, complaining, skiing, making people laugh, Harry Potter, dark chocolate, Ben and Jerry's, changing peoples' computer backgrounds to weird random stuff while they're not looking, epic soundtracks that motivate me.

****************************************

Hates: Any sort of stinging insect, that awkward moment when there's an inside joke and I don't get it. Any awkward moment at all, really. Also early-morning exams and 9-hour work shifts.

****************************************

Interesting facts: I have color-changing eyes. They go between blue and gray, and I actually have a couple pictures to prove this. I collect fortune cookie fortunes, chapsticks, and paper books, because I'm afraid they may soon go out of print. Also, I recently found out about a rare phenomenon that occurs in some peoples' brains when they hear certain sounds or perceive certain things. It's called ASMR, and it triggers a tingling sensation that spreads from the head to the limbs. I have had this all my life and it's really cool, but I never knew it was an official thing or that it was rare until this year.

****************************************

My current obsessions: Jody Mills and just Supernatural in general, dyeing my hair multiple colors so that I feel like a dragon, staying up all night reading the weirdest fanfiction I can find while wondering what I am doing with my life, making sure I eat enough protein, ASOIAF (the show's not half as good as the books and I'll fight you on this, but I'm also obsessed with the soundtrack), any quote by GLaDOS, basically anything about Portal really, creepers from Minecraft, and this Game of Thrones fanvid.

****************************************

Favorite Manga/anime: Black Butler by far. Sebastian's been my only anime crush.

****************************************

Some stuffs about me: First and foremost, I'm a writer and storyteller. Of all the things that have changed in my life, that's been a constant and I'm pretty sure it always will be. I'm also an artist and a calligrapher. I like to read beyond reason and when I'm into a very good book I won't notice if my current dwelling falls down around me. I'm a passionate skier. I love nature and hope to live in a place with a lot of forests, mountains, or ocean later in life. I'm pretty weird and can also be kinda awkward......yeah. I really like random facts and tidbits of information. Always open to new suggestions about books, anime, manga, TV shows, etc. Always open to talk or just listen to anyone who needs to vent.
And I love bacon. A lot. Probably too much.

Welcome to the labyrinth that is my life.

unconfident...

Well, I've done it. I've submitted writing to my university's literary magazine. I'm really nervous because in high school getting my submissions approved was fairly easy. I'm more confident in my writing ability than anything, and although I'm not stuck-up about most things, I'm fairly sure (just from reading) that my writing was better than the majority of my fellow high-schoolers. I was right up with the best...but now I'm on a huge college campus full of extremely smart, talented people and I'm actually kind of scared. I read their last magazine and the writing I've seen in there is really good. I'm not sure if I'm on that level...wish me luck, guys!

WE ARE BADASSES!!!

HAHAHAHAHA WE GOT THE CUPCAKESSSSS!!!!

I am so hyper on sugar right now I can't even

Ok so we went to a different dining hall and they have better food than ours. So we were going to take some dessert out but a guy stopped us and made us throw away our brownies because apparently that's not allowed for some reason. BUT WE GOT CUPCAKES ANYWAY! We just kind of walked right out with them. We left with four giant cupcakes. We were already sugared up from eating a zillion desserts each so we were all hyper and giggling and I just can't even right now.

We also got a spoon.

Japanese pop culture class

So I am taking a class in college called Japanese pop culture. I swear to God we started watching Sailor Moon in class. Looking forward to this year, guys.

Busy days

Hey guys! So I'm all moved into college (although my roommate never showed up. Weird, but I'm told that's a fairly common occurrence and they may switch someone else into my room. For now, I have it to myself.) So...I hate to say this, but...well, once again, I won't be as active on here. I'll try to get on and talk to you and look at your art and stuff, but I may not be posting as much. For one thing, the scanner is at home and I'm here. For another, I'm mostly too busy to draw, though I may do it when I visit home. But, you know, classes have started and I get a lot of work here. I pretty much BS'ed my way through high school, but college means actually doing actual work, so...yeah. Also, I'm trying to get involved in student groups, initiate friendships, and even possibly seek out a job. Basically, I'm trying to do all the things now that I didn't do in high school, because I see this as a sort of new start for myself. So...yeah...I'll try and be on here, but that other stuff has to come first. Especially since they put me in the high level Spanish even though I'm only a freshman. I attended that class this afternoon and, well, "Ay caramba". It's gonna be tough. Anyway...I hope you are all doing well with whatever you are doing. Have a nice day, or night, or whatever it is in your time zone.

Moved into dorm

So I've moved into my dorm here. I haven't met my roommate yet because she's a sophomore and they don't move in till Sunday, but I've got my side of the room all set up and I have my textbooks and all. Oh, but there's one think that makes me slightly nervous. Okay, really nervous. So. In order to maximize living space in this little room, I lofted my bed and put my desk and chair underneath it. However, although these beds can be lofted, they do not come with bars across the sides. So I'm in what I call the Bed of Death. Wish me luck in school and in not dying falling out of my bed!
