First I hung out with these people who run a Bible talk thing on my campus. They also hang out on Fridays and they invited me to come, so I did, and they seem really nice and cool. A lot of them are into nerdy stuff and fandoms like me, so that's cool. Now I just have to see if any of them are into manga/anime. I had fun with them and then I came back to campus to hang out with my friends and get midnight sandwiches.
So my school has this thing where they sell custom-made grilled cheese sandwiches to raise money for charity. Tonight they were doing late-night deliveries so of course my friends and I ordered some and so that was awesome. BUT. While my friends were in my room, my friend messaged me on Facebook. We've been sort of going out on dates to see where things go. So anyway, tonight he messaged me asking me officially if I wanted to be his girlfriend and since all my friends were in the room there was an outpouring of squealing and overexcited emotion. And then I said yes. So now, for the first time in my life, I have a boyfriend.
Then there was a mix-up with our sandwich order so they had to come deliver more, and while we were waiting I bought a bunch of vending machine candy and shared my last bar of dark chocolate with my friends. I eat really really dark chocolate, like 90% (I've acclimated myself to the taste so I actually really like it) and sometimes if people ask to try it I give them a piece just to see the looks on their faces. Which is what I did tonight, because two of my friends had never actually had dark chocolate before. Well. Now they have. Facial expressions: priceless. My chocolate is all gone, but I'll get more tomorrow.
Now all that vending machine candy is kicking in and I probably won't be sleeping any time soon, so I had to come on here and write this whole bloggy thing. The vending machine has introduced me to these giant Kit-Kat crunch bars and now they are making sweet love to my taste buds. I'm sorry you had to read that. I'm really excited about this candy. I'm so excited that in a burst of generosity I bought an extra one to give to my brother when I see him tomorrow. I'm going home for the weekend because it's the baptism of my friend's baby, so I thought I'd show up and surprise her.
And I keep remembering that I have a new cousin, Sophie, who I cannot wait to meet. So yeah, it has been one hell of a day. Wow.
