"In the Woods" by Tana French. Starts out as kind of a mystery crime novel in Ireland, but rapidly turns into a really interesting character study and grabs your mind and twists it! I normally don't read mysteries, but I couldn't put this down.
A closed-circle murder-mystery mini-series called Harper's Island recently started on CBS. I think one episode is out so far, but the second should air pretty soon.
