I am somehow still alive after working on two huge projects all weekend, not getting to sleep until 2:00, then getting up at 6:00 to ride to school in peak Tokyo Monday morning traffic to print about 60 pages of stuff in the computer lab. And then from there I did an oral presentation. Because I am the goddamn Batman.
And now after all that I'm going to be eaten by the cat because my host family won't be back until late but they forgot to put food in the dish. I have absolutely no idea where it is. And Shige... well, this is the cat who literally tried to break down my bedroom door when I started using coconut-scented hand lotion. The minute I got home, he wouldn't let me go anywhere without licking my legs repeatedly. Seriously, this cat freaks me out so much. ;; I can't wait to get home to my Holly, who just quietly sleeps next to me while I write and doesn't try to eat me.
MAN I really want to read or watch something, since I told myself I wasn't going to do a second of work tonight, but I don't know where to begin. I would ask you all for advice, but. Everyone's asleep already, except for, like, the other three or four of you that are in Asia right now.
What I really want to do is look through the bookshelves at home and see which books from my childhood survived the various purges of moving to Florida, selling to the used bookstore, etc. I was just thinking about this book I used to love, The Whipping Boy, but I can't remember much about it other than a few scenes and the fact that there were sewer rats that freaked my brother out. I want to read it again...
