I am back. My darling Miranda left this morning, and I already miss her. D: Here are some of the fabulous things we got to do:
- Saw Coraline again, though she was seeing it for the first time. She enjoyed it, though I was distracted the entire time by a couple behind me whispering about how weird the movie was. Also, some of those kids were WAY too young to be there. Afterwards, Miranda accidentally put on her 3D glasses to drive instead of her sunglasses, and we didn't notice until halfway home. XD
- Asked my father for directions to a nearby park. He directed us to a random residential street instead. We eventually found the park on our own.
- Drove down to St. Augustine. Tried to get directions to the fort from GoogleMaps, and were instead given directions to a random dirt road on the outskirts with the same name as the fort. ;; Busted out the GPS and eventually got there. Miranda had some Northern culture shock when we got a super-friendly waitress.
- Went to the beach, which was freezing for Florida, but still warmer than New England, so we got bodyslammed by waves for half an hour.
- Ate way too much crab: Joe's Crab Shack screwed up our order and made us wait for another one, but P.F Chang's gave us free crab rangoons after they accidentally brought our entree first. Fail, Joe's Crab Shack.
- And watched wayyy too much television. Mostly British, because this is Miranda we're talking about. I saw a couple episodes of Being Human (which quickly went from "cute and entertaining" to "AAAAH THIS IS TOO STRESSFUL FOR ME D:") Primeval (so cracktastic. DR. CUTTER AND HIS LAB ASSISTANT STEVEN HUNT DINOSAURS) and the Big Fat Quiz of the Year for 2006 (I-I still crack up whenever I think of it. EPIC). We also watched a lot of awful American TV, because it's kind of our thing. Last night we were so desperate, we ended up on Lifetime. "I'VE SLIPPED LIQUID X INTO YOUR DRINK!" "NOOOOOOOO!"
The only bad part was getting incredibly sick early Thursday morning, which I mistakenly thought was food poisoning, but was just a bad reaction to my new allergy medication. So I pretty much spent all of yesterday wanting to fall over, but I sucked it up, and feel way better now that I've gotten some sleep.
And I'm leaving on my travels in less than two weeks. Eeeeeep.
So, did I miss anything?
