(Yes, we're back to bullet points.)
- I got to go to Tokyo Disneyland today with my club! Though it ended up being Melissa, Nozomi and me all day. No idea what happened to everyone else. There were enough similarities to Disneyworld Florida that I got to be the crazy person who knows way too much about the rides, but there were enough differences to keep things fresh~
- As I was riding Pirates of the Caribbean, I thought about how I can say I rode that ride when there was no such thing as Captain Jack Sparrow. And then I felt very old.
- SPACE MOUNTAIN WAS CLOSED. I WAS SO HEARTBROKEN. It was closed for repairs last time I went to Disney for Grad Night, too. WILL I EVER RIDE SPACE MOUNTAIN AGAIN. D:
- Big Thunder Mountain: all I can ever say is WHEEEEEEE
- So I was all, "Wow, the drop on Splash Mountain isn't as big as it is in Florida!" And then they had added about three more inside. And I still freaked out on the last one. I am so bad at handling drops. ;;;
- I continually ended up scoring the least points out of all of us on that Buzz Lightyear shooting ride. Failbecky.
- There was a new ride about Monsters Inc., but the line was literally 1-2 hours long the entire time we were there.
- That Alice in Wonderland teacup ride? SPINS A LOT FASTER THAN THE ONE IN FLORIDA, I FOUND. Holy crap I almost couldn't walk.
- Ended up in front of some truly idiotic gaijin on the Haunted Mansion. They seriously would not shut the fuck up, guys. I quote: "KONNICHIWAWA! AHURHURHURHUR"
- I think the best part was hearing the dub voices for various characters and narrators on the iconic rides. Personal favorites: shounen-ized Peter Pan ("OIIII, SENCHOU!") super-serious Buzz Lightyear (although you cannot make me believe he'd use "watashi," he's an "ore" kind of guy) and Haunted Mansion narrator, period (I wish I could get away with talking like him on a daily basis. "KORE WA SHITSUREI~ <3")
- Got myself a Cheshire Cat cellphone strap. I haven't watched the Disney version in ages, but I am a bitch for Alice in Wonderland in general. My phone now has a creepy smartass dangling from it <3
Tomorrow I get to sleep over at Melissa's house. The Maeda family is making me curry. Did I mention I love the Maedas?
