Listening to the girl's words of thanks, Durant chuckled at her reference to him.
"Pas de problem. I was simply doing my duty as your new tutor. The help would be much appreciated, on the condition that you do not have any classes to attend to."
As Amarie continued, Matthieu also noticed the light trickling through the windows above them.
"First, I need to change out of these clothes. I can meet you outside my office later, if there is something you wish to discuss with me."
Finally, he listened to Amarie's comments about Adarius.
"I fully understand, and appreciate your defence of your noble vampire cousin. Trust me, Mademoiselle, he is already forgiven. He is still one of my students. I only hope he will become more willing to learn something from me. He certainly has formidable abilities, but I do question his focus."
He paused, noticing some distress in Amarie's tone. His hand moved from his side to comfort her, but he hesitated, all too aware of the urgency created by the burning blanket of sunlight steadily inching its' way across the room. Both hands resumed their place behind his back. He then simply bowed again, and turned to leave. Stretching his arms out as he passed through the doors into the men's changing room, he sighed, feeling slightly weary from the intensity of the lesson.
