Durant crouched on his mark, watching the wraith with narrowed eyes. He gripped the bottle tightly in his hand. Then, turning his attention to the others as they moved, he awaited the signal from Amarie. The two vampires made eye contact, and Durant was just about to lunge forward and put his side of the plan into action, when he heard Sessa's voice in his mind. He paused, and turned to face her. Suddenly the tutor smiled - he had thought of a way that she could help, without getting hurt.

"Now," he began, his lips curling with concentration as the words formed in his mind, "If you can get as close to the wraith as possible, without being seen or heard (which should be no trouble for a cat-being such as yourself), then you will be in an ideal position to use this." Here, he held out the small bottle in his hand for Sessa. "I want you to throw it as near as you can to the wraith itself, and stay out of sight. I have brewed this myself, and if I have remembered the recipe correctly, it should create a very powerful illusion. That will create the distraction we need. Before I join you and the others in the attack on the creature, I will bar these doors to the courtyard, which should prevent any other students from coming into contact with it."

He put his hand on Sessa's shoulder, and silently nodded his confidence in her ability.
