UNFT's "The Nightmare Before Christmas"

Untold Naruto FairyTales Presents…

SandLover13’s The Nightmare Before Christmas

‘Twas a long time ago, longer now than it seems, in a place that perhaps you’ve seen in your dreams. For the story that you are about to be told, took place in the holiday worlds of old. Now, you’ve probably wondered where holidays come from. If you haven’t, I’d say it’s time you begun…

A ghostly and far-frightening specter hung on top a wooden pole. It had a creepy smile on its face and above its head was a sign that read “Halloween Town”. A wind blew its way, sending it into a small spin and making its arm point in a direction through a graveyard. The faint sound of music started to play. It was a steady tune, very catchy once you could hear it. It seemed to be coming from the graves all around, as if the dead had risen just to hum, and it was growing louder.

“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?” three shadowy ghouls appearing on tombstones sang. “Come with us and you will see this, our town of Halloween…”

“This is Halloween, this is Halloween,” several ghosts sang, swerving, as if dancing, through an iron-barbed fence; and different expression-ed Jack-o-lanterns dropped down on the fence. “Pumpkins scream in the dead of night,” the ghosts continued, flowing into a dark and fear-provoking town. “This is Halloween, everybody make a scene! Trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright. It’s our town, everybody scream, in this town of Halloween…”

“I am the one hiding under your bed,” a monster sang from underneath a bed, “teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red!”

“I am the one hiding under your stairs,” a creature from under a flight of stairs continued, “fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair.”

“This is Halloween, this is Halloween…Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!” the townspeople chorus sang in unison.

“In this town we call home,” a pair of vampires named Vane and Prison sang, “everyone hail to the spider song!”

“In this town, don’t we love it now?” the mayor of Halloween Town sang on top of his fancy car. He was the most bizarre being ever to be seen. He was a tall figure who wore an open tattered purple trench coat, which he wore over a red turtleneck sweater. He also wore an old black top hat and a red and purple scarf that concealed his face in shadows, except for his pitch-brown eyes. He had two-faces, four spider legs protruded on his neck, and a demonic smile. But what was most disturbing about him was that he had eight eyed. He was called Arachnea Chikumo (due to obvious reasons), a scientist spider hybrid with the I.Q. of 296. “Everybody’s waiting for the next surprise!”

“Round that corner, man hiding in the trash can…” the chorus sang again as a black cat named Worm prowled the streets. “Something’s waiting now to pounce, and how you’ll-”

“SCREAM!!!” a harlequin demon, werehog, and a melting alien named Harlow, Jess (Jay) the Were-Hog and Ben’s alien Goop, respectively, sang. “This is Halloween! Red ‘n’ black, slimy green.”

“Aren’t you scared?” Jay added.

“Well, that’s just fine,” two witches on broomsticks named Elate and Stella, sang. “Say it once, say it twice. Take the chance and roll the dice. Ride with the moon in the dead of night.”

“Everybody scream! Everybody scream!” a tall and slender Hanging Tree named Noose exclaimed with glee.

Noose held up her branches, which held several of her eaten boyfriends hanging from nooses. “In our town of Halloween…” they sang.

“I am the clown with the tear-away face,” a zombie magician named Abrakazi sang before completely ripping her face off! “Here in a flash and gone without a trace!”

“I am the ‘who’ when you call, ‘Who’s there?’” a ghoul sang as a wind suddenly started to pick up and blew through a teenaged, Asian girl’s hair. She had smooth cheeks, blue eyes, long purple hair with a pink strand and she wore a red t-shirt, along with a red heart necklace, along with a brown belt with a yellow belt buckle, black jeans and no shoes. “I am the wind blowing through your hair.”

A shadow named Shadow appeared on the moon. “I am the shadow on the moon at night, filling your dreams to the brim with fright!” Suddenly Shadow dissipated into bats, flying and screeching into town.

“This is Halloween, this is Halloween,” the townspeople sang as they strolled through their town gate. “Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!”

By a guillotine, which’s blade came down and smashed a Jack-o-lantern to bits, one rag doll and a giant German-Shepherd puppy named Kevin Skellington and Peanut Butter, respectively, sang, “Tender lumplings everywhere, life’s no fun without a good scare!”

Then up-popped Peanut Butter’s parents, Worm the Cat and Malady the Cerberus. “That’s our job, but we’re not mean in our town of Halloween.”

“In this town,” Arachnea sang, “don’t we love it now?” Then the chorus joined in with him. “Everyone’s waiting for the next surprise.”

Every goblin, witch, and monster was gathering in the town square around the fountain spewing green water, cheering and chanting, some carrying torches. The young and old were in full spirits. “Vampire Taro might catch you in the back,” the townspeople sang as a man with an axe through his head named Bleu pulled on a rope, which was attached to a straw horse with the ghostly specter from earlier on the wooden pole sat. It was around this that everyone flocked. “And scream like a banshee, make you jump out of your skin! This is Halloween, everybody scream! Won’t ya please make way for a very special guy?”

Suddenly the specter sprang to life, so to speak, and swiped a flaming torch from one of the townspeople. “Our man Taro is king of the Spider Webs.” The specter swallowed the torch whole and its whole body was set ablaze! “Everyone hail to the Spider Prince now!” The specter began to do a little bit of a dance on board of the straw horse. Its sheet-like arms swung while wreathed in flame and blew fire from its mouth to the awe of the crowd.

Soon everyone started to sing. “This is Halloween, this is Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!” The specter sprung off the pony and dove head first into the green fountain located dead center of the town of Halloween, snuffing out the flames and vanishing beneath its murky surface.

“In this town we call home,” Kevin and Peanut sang as all the townsfolk gathered around the fountain, “everyone hail to the spider song!”

And he rose from the fountain depths, arms folded over his chest, his ghostly disguise burned off to show his grinning face. The Human Boy of Fright, the Vampire (Costume) of Horror: Taro Chikumo, the Spider Prince. He spread his arms wide and bared his teeth, his black hair gleaming through the night. “La la-la la, Halloween! Halloween! La la-la la, Halloween! Halloween! La la-la la, Halloween! Halloween!” the townspeople waved their arms in the air excitedly.

Once the entire complicated, but well planned out, show was over; everyone was left cheering for Taro. “It’s over!” Abrakazi laughed.

“Woohoo! We did it!” Bleu whooped, high-fiving Abrakazi.

“Wasn’t it terrifying?” Jay asked.

“Yeah!” Vane agreed.

“What a night!”

“Great Halloween, everybody!”Arachnea declared with a booming voice, thanks to a magic spell he placed on himself.

“I believe it was our most horrible yet!” Taro exclaimed, stepping down from the fountain. “Thank you, everyone, for participating in this most frightening event!”

“No, thank you, Taro!” Ara said, unaware that he still had that loud-voice spell placed on himself and practically screamed into Taro’s ear. “Whoops! Sorry about that.” He quickly removed his spell. “Anyway…without your brilliant leadership, this Halloween…”

“Not at all, Mayor Ara,” Taro assured him.

“You’re the main man, Taro!” Prison said to him.

“You’re a witch’s fondest dream!” Elate sighed dreamingly.

“You made walls fall, Taro!” Stella giggled.

“Walls fall? You made the very mountains crack, Taro!” Elate exclaimed.

Meanwhile, the Asian girl from before was eyeing Taro from behind a tree. She smiled, and began to straighten out her hair and made sure she looked nice. She was about to walk over to Taro, but suddenly she yelped as her hand was grabbed and she was pulled out of sight. “The sleep potion you slipped me wore off, Jessica,” a green-skinned male alien with dark purple hair, eyeglasses, black and purple coat and a sort of hinge attached to his head said sternly. “You’re not ready for so much excitement!”

“Yes, I am, Uncle Rou-Rou!” the girl named Jessica of The Sand (or Jess for short) protested.

“Hey, as you’re creator, I say you’re coming with me!” Roulette said finally, dragging Jess off by her hand.

“Oh, no, I’m not!” Jess pulled up her sleeve, revealing stitches on her arm. She pulled one out and the arm Roulette was holding came sliding completely off, making him fall over and Jess quickly ran off.

“Come back here, you hand-sewn girl!” Roulette shouted before Jess’s limp arm came to life again and began punching him on the head. “Ow! Stop that! YOW!”

Meanwhile, Taro was trying to get away from a group of the town’s girls swooning over him. “Ooo Taro, you make wounds ooze and flesh crawl,” a sea-creature named WhirlPool said.

“Thank you,” Taro smiled awkwardly, sweating. “Thank you, thank you, you all very much…”

“Hold it!” Ara shouted. “We haven’t even given out the prizes yet!” The girls started to depart to watch the ceremony and Taro sighed with relief, wiping the sweat away from his forehead.

He started to head out of the public area and sighed as he heard some rather sad music playing by a bat-hybrid band called the Bat Brothers. As he passed them by, Taro feebly reached into his pocket and flipped a quarter to them. The saxophone player named Chicago looked up. “Nice work tonight, Bug Boy,” he said.

“Yeah, I guess so…” Taro sighed, his hands in his pockets. “It was as great as like last year…and the year before that…and the year before that…and the year before that…”

Taro sighed again jadedly.
