The Bogeyman's Beginning

I was bored the next day, so I decided to pull a prank on Dr. Finkelstein. I was hiding under the lab table where the doctor was creating a new experiment. I grabbed a test tube full of liquid and replaced it with a fire-cracker. When the old man dropped the explosive, his face blew up.

"Oogie!!!" Dr. Finkelstein yelled. I snickered, drinking the potion by mistake. I didn't feel anything...until I looked down. The lab looked like a small stick to me. My stubby feet were huge. I was now 100 feet tall.

"What the hell!?" I yelled in a loud voice.

"You idiot! You've just drank my growing potion." The doctor cursed in his breath. Although I loved being high snd mighty, I wouldn't fit inside my own home. I stomped my way over to Jack's house.

“OH, JACK, COME OUT HERE!” I yelled in a booming voice.

“Who could that be?” I heard Jack asked from inside his house. He opened the door and saw me staring at him.

"I got a huge problem..." I sighed. Jack looked disturbed.

"Oh crap! Oogie, what did you do?" Jack asked. I told him about drinking the potion.

"This isn't good. You can't even sleep in your home for that matter. I'm first going to re-model your house so it could be as big as you. Then I'll ask the doctor to help." Jack thought it over. I rolled my eyes.

"Jack, lets think about this one shall we?" I said in a mocking tone and bent down so I can see his face, "You're six feet tall, give or take, and I'm a hundred feet. You do the math."

"I don't care how big you are, I am not going to let you suffer like this, no matter what." Jack said with determination.

"Alright then, let's go build my mansion again!" I agreed. I then had an evil idea. I grabbed Jack, smirking evilly. Jack knew what I was about to do. He tried to escape but he could not, I was too powerful. Jack needed to think. He couldn't do anything, he was helpless.

"Oogie, don't you dare-" Jack warned me, but I cut him off. I always wanted to do what I was about to do next.

"Have you ever wanted to fly? HA HA HA!" I laughed. I launched Jack into the air and he went soaring above the town. I heard some of the citizens looking up and gasped.

"It's a bird!" The corpse kid shouted.

"It's a broom!" A small witch giggled.

"It's Jack Skellington!" The mayor of Halloween Town whimpered. Jack screamed as he landed next to the treehouse. I laughed as I stood next to the treehouse. THe house looked more like a stump to me.

"Say one word and I'll rip your seams open..." Jack threatened me as he got up. He wanted to look at my mansion so far. I didn't tell him about my theme of my mansion.

"Wait Jack, I forgot to tell you..." I started to say but Jack ignored me as usual and went inside my manor. When he came back out, he looked horrible in a bad way.

"I forgot to tell you that I transformed my place. So it's a treehouse and a casino mansion." I explained. Jack slammed his forehead on the bark of the tree. When he stopped doing that, he rubbed his head.

"Alright let's get to work. The manor needs to be big enough for yo to live in, so I'll need some help to build this Giant Manor. It would be a mansion fit for a hundred foot giant like yourself. So the manor would have to be at least seventy feet tall and as long as the town." Jack told me his plans. He also wanted to ask the citizens of Halloween Town to help, but I thought they would be too scared to help someone like me.

"The only ones that are brave enough to help us are my bats, skeletons, and a few ghosts." I sighed.

"Okay with their help, the mansion will be nearly done." Jack was about to get his digging tools when Sally came in.

"Hi Jack, are you okay?" Sally said, but when she looked at me, she fainted. Jack caught her.

"Don't worry Sally. Oogie won't eat you. He just needs an antidote from your father. Can you ask him for it please?" Jack asked. Sally nodded and she limped away. The construction began. When half of my giant mansion was finished, Sally came back worried.

"Father said that he wanted to get revenge on Oogie, so he refused to give the antidote. Looks like Oogie would have to stay that way..." Sally said in a shy voice. I was playing blackjack with a few bats when I heard Sally. I looked at her with Jack.

"This is intolerable! Not only is Oogie a giant and the doctor refuses to help, it's almost Halloween. I need to be prepared. Oogie, you're on your own with your house. When Halloween is over, I promise to ask the doctor for the antidote." Jack explained. I looked at my calender and it said October 26th. I sighed but was glad that Jack didn't have to bother me again...for now.
