"Don't forget your lunch!"
Kenji stopped at the bottom of the steps for the fifth time, was there anything else he could forget!? Grumbling he dragged his feet back up the steps to where his mother was standing with his lunch.
"Is there anything else I forgot?" He muttered bitterly.
"Only one other thing." His mother leaned down and kissed his forehead.
"GAH! Mom I'm going to be late! Haven't you kissed me enough!"
"Alright, alright. Good luck."
"Thanks!"
"And have fun!"
"I will!!"
Kenji dashed down the street, finally he was going to find out who his team was and be a real Genin! He was halfway down the street when he heard his mom calling him. He glanced back and saw his mom standing on the steps waving his headband. Of course, he just had to forget that of all things!
Kenji ran back, grabbed his headband and put it on. He kissed his mom good-bye, this time for the last time today and ran back towards the academy.
Okay,now he was going to be a real Genin.
