well I came up with something and I would like some feedback

I walked out of my rather small bedroom, navigating my way through the house to the kitchen. I hated this house. It was so small and cramped. And blue. Most of the walls were blue. Nobody was in the house. All that was on the bench was a bowl of soup, a little stack of toast and a note saying they would be back soon. 'They' was my family. My mum and my annoying little brother. Dad died when I was 11. I looked around the tiny space of a kitchen. Soup, toast, loneliness and the colour blue. That was all saw. Angrily, I grabbed a spoon and tasted the soup. It was cold.
