theOtaku.com Anime Podcast VIII - Ep. 11
Caruso week's over. I'm going back to regular comments. Also, those are tricky to keep up with for a whole week... but that's not important. Really, I'm more curious about this whole "alphabetical-couples" thing. I've never heard of that before, or I have but it never stuck. In any case, podcast. And remember: if Ichigo doesn't get at least eleven comments, he'll take away your iPods. Also, heh, Shake Weight...

Caption Battle: Some Folks Just Don't Care...
"It's that time again..."
"To watch another seventy-two minutes of Megavideo?"
"To chart the company policies between Disney and Nickelodeon?"
"No... it's time for this week's caption battle!"
But first, last week's winners:
In third place with a fitting albeit fairly derivative line: xfishyx!
Misato can (not) get up.
In second place, because it takes all kinds: Aethelwynne!
Yup. There's a fandom for that.
And in the coveted first place, (sorta) playing true to the story that is Evangelion... TimeChaser!
Whenever Angels attack, it's comforting to know we have such competent, professional people there to defend -- Oh crap...
Congratulations! And yeah, I'll probably link to TV Tropes one more time before we're through...
So this week's screencap comes courtesy of JingleStansChibi, and features the series Slap Up Party - Arad Senki. The guy in blue is Baron, the guy in red is Capensis. Go for it:
You know the drill: type up the funniest, wittiest, most original caption you can think of for the screencap above in the comments below. Also, if any of you would like some tips on writing a great caption, you can find those here.
And like always, theOtaku is open to all submissions and suggestions for weekly feature content. You have a screencap you want used, you can PM me and we can do somethin' about it. So good luck, and remember: subtlety is divine.
theOtaku.com Anime Podcast VIII - Ep. 10
Y'know, the only time I ever use the adjective "dulcet" to describe anything, it's for the tones of my friend, this fair-voiced bastard from work. That guy has a monopoly on the word "dulcet" to me. That said, when Ichigo refers to his own dulcet tones, I am in disbelief. That's besides the point, though. The real point? Podcast. And remember, if Ichigo doesn't get at least ten comments, he'll feed a puppy to his students - remember, he's in Asia, so this is not an empty threat...

Caption Battle: Who Doesn't Love Penguins?
Oh bugger, guess who almost forgot to do this before bedtime?!
Let's hurry: last week's winners:
In third place with a reference that would make Hasbro smile: TimeChaser!
Lucy in the Library with the Swordfish.
In second place because I laugh at misfortune: Hikari Mogami!
It was her birthday, too.
And in the coveted first place, with the kind of reference that will never ever get old... CelestialSushi!
This girl was told marlin fishing was illegal in these parts. I guess you could say... she got the point.
I am so favouriting that video... congratulations, everyone. Great week all around!
This week is a rush, so I'll pull from mine own archives (even though this one's rather new). Comes from the new movie Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance, and features Misato Katsuragi and Pen Pen - here's a hint: Pen Pen's not the human one:
