Caption Battle: Scary Hand Is Scary...

"It's that time again..."
"To listen to never ending girl's talk?"
"To study hard after school?"
"No... it's time for this week's caption battle!"

But first, last week's winners:

In third place, with the technology gag: red.alchemist!

We've come a long way from Red-and-blue 3D Glasses.

In second place, with the (first) parenting gag: mariomario!

This is why your parents tell you not to sit so close to the television.

And in the coveted first place with the mythology gag... joedela!

If you get this picture, than please explain the ending of Evangelion to me...

I'm not gonna lie, this week was a good week. Very hard to pick winners. Very pleased. Well done, all of you. And now, moving on...

Figured it'd be fair to not use another Desbreko screencap this week (although they are many and of amazing quality). So this week, we'll take a screencap courtesy of Kimmeh and featuring that one show that everyone either loves or hates with the guy with the ears. Not that you don't already know this but "boomerang girl" is Sango, "schoolgirl" is Kagome, "hand guy" on the far left is Miroku, and "dog guy" is Richard Ian Cox. Have fun!

You know the drill: type up the funniest, wittiest, most original caption you can think of for the screencap above in the comments below. Also, if any of you would like some tips on writing a great caption, you can find those here.

And like always, theOtaku is open to all submissions and suggestions for weekly feature content. You have a screencap you want used, you can PM me and we can do somethin' about it. So good luck, and remember... moe moe, kyun!

Caption Battle: Wan-wan! Say Ahh!

"It's that time again..."
"To remember that people on the internet are jerks?"
"To wonder when they'll make a new map for Battlefield 1943?"
"No... it's time for this week's caption battle!"

But first, last week's winners:

In third place, being the first person to nail The Obvious Caption(TM): Allamorph!

"AUGH....you're home early."

In second place, making use of the Japanese-ness of the subject matter: KeenHavoc!

"What the hell is a BIDET and why would it do THAT!"

And in the coveted first place, with one of those wonderful "you get it after a short delayed reaction" captions... inufluffy12!

The moral of the story: Never flush your goldfish down the toilet. It'll only come back mutated and out for revenge.

Job well done, job well done... and now, moving on...

This week we'll once again pull from the cornucopia that is Desbreko's Imageshack and go with a rather random screencap from Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~. Actually, if anyone feels like keeping score, he actually gave me this screencap at the tail end of the infamous "Rozen Maiden Month"... besides the point, though. The human in the picture is Yukio Haibara; the dog puppet is Johnny; the monster coming out of the TV is a monster coming out of the TV. You know the rest:

New Feature - Direct Post Modification

This feature has been a long time coming. If you own a WORLD or guest post on one, you now have a "modify post" button at the bottom of each entry.

Indi, one of our most outspoken members, had this to say about the new feature: "Having the option to edit posts on the spot is great. Now I don’t have to hunt through the backroom list to find the right one anymore."

What do you think?
