More Pluggin' For OB

[FIREFLY]
Australian James sends word for some more happ'nins over on his neck of the 'verse. Seems the old Anime Central just ain't gettin' into the pretty little nitty-grittys that he reckons some shows in particular deserve. All he needs from you folks is to give a holler 'bout just which shows be the deservin' type. The rest is pretty self-explainin', so I'll just make a big glowing line o' words for y'all to give a poke that should more or less cover the rest.

Translation: click the link, listen to what James has to say. He's cool like that.

Caption Battle: Tastes Like Diabetes...

I've got dinner back in Smallville waitin' for me; let's get this done fast...

Last week's winners:

In third place, being wordy but not boring (which takes talent): TwistedCyberChick!

Suiseiseki: Come on, Sou! Pose with me! These are the cutest outfits ever! I'm so updating my blog after this. Sou, hurry up! It's gonna flash!
Souseiseki [muttered reading]: Assassinations are best accomplished during a moment of distraction. Having a concealed weapon, perhaps hidden within an over-sized sleeve, is recommended. If inside a building, it is also best to be on tile or wood flooring. [glancing down; to Suiseiseki] Sister, move onto the tile please.

Moral: Not all twins like ruffles.

In second place, for being just plain wrong yet oh so amusing (and not quite crossing the line, which also takes talent): TimeChaser!

"Double the Loli, double the fun!"

And in the coveted first place... because traps are funny... Koneko Krysta!

It's cute until you find out it's crossplay.

Fun times... so, whose brains are melting so far? No? Good, 'cause we've still half a month to go!

Once again, Rozen Maiden. Once again, courtesy of Desbro of the Nine Moe. We have Souseiseki in the pink, Kanaria in the black, and Hinaichigo in the white. Lord have mercy on you all...

You know the drill: type up the funniest, wittiest, most original caption you can think of for the screencap above in the comments below. Also, if any of you would like some tips on writing a great caption, you can find those here.

And like always, theOtaku is open to all submissions and suggestions for weekly feature content. You have a screencap you want used, you can PM me and we can do somethin' about it. Happy moe, now; don't die.

theOtaku.com Valentine's Fan Art Contest

Thanks to our friends at Otaku Mitsukai, an online anime store, we're going to be hosting a fan art contest for Valentine's Day. If this contest goes well we could host a new contest every single month.

The contest is simple: Submit a work of fan art, tagged with the word hugkiss, around any category with a Valentine's Day theme and featuring either of our two mascots (the smiling hat above the O in theOtaku.com and the spikey-haired guy on the top right of the screen).

This contest is open to everyone around the world.

First place will win a $50 gift certificate to Otaku Mitsukai, second and third will each receive $20 gift certificates.

The contest will end at midnight Eastern Time on Valentine's Day.

If you have any questions please comment here.
