At Last, Profile and Time Zone Editing!

This is a feature I'm thrilled to finally announce and that all members should jump on: The ability to edit your profile information (email, birthday, gender) and the ability to set a local time zone.

The latter feature is important because I understand it can be frustrating to make a post at 7 PM your time and then see the date of the post appear to be the next day because of time differences. We have many international visitors after all.

To access this feature, click "Profile > Edit My Info" in your backroom. Let me know via PM or comment here if you have any problems at all. It's hard for us to test all the different time zone combinations.

Enjoy!

Caption Battle: Photoshoots Are Hard...

"It's that time again..."
"To ready the DVR for post-Christmas television?"
"To put on those snow tires we needed last month?"
"No... it's time for this week's caption battle!"

But first, last week's winners:

In third place, because rhyming parodies will never hurt your chances: BloodRedArab!

"I'm a little teapot, short and stout,
Here is my handle, and here is my spout.
When I get all steamed up, hear me shout!
I'm passive-aggressive and scalding water pours out!"

In second place, because aerosol deterrents are always funny: lazyweird1!

Today's item on this edition "Antiques Road Show" is Ye Olde Pepper Spray!

And in the coveted first place position, no-nonsense as ever... TimeChaser!

They've got some crazy s--t in Holland.

And let it be known that in examples as the above, you win with the delivery, not the vocabulary. Also, I was probably in a fickle mood today.

Ahem.

Moving on to this week's caption battle in this accursed "Rozen Maiden Month" courtesy of Moeman Des', we have the twins (left to right) Souseiseki and Suiseiseki. Think of this week' image as a creative exercise; see if you can draw out the funny:

You know the drill: type up the funniest, wittiest, most original caption you can think of for the screencap above in the comments below. Also, if any of you would like some tips on writing a great caption, you can find those here.

And like always, theOtaku is open to all submissions and suggestions for weekly feature content. You have a screencap you want used, you can PM me and we can do somethin' about it. Meantime, podcasters evidently have some sort of high standard for these and as such are harsh critics. Give 'em something to shut 'em up. I promise it'll feel good...

PM Notification for Submission Dedications.

I often get requests from members for new features to be added to theOtaku. One of those requests was for members to get a pm letting them know someone had dedicated a work to them.

So from now on when you dedicate a submission to a member; they’ll receive a pm letting them know about it. ^_~ The PM will include a handy link to the submission so they can easily see the work you dedicated to them.

So Happy Dedicating! Don't forget to thank Adam for his hard work and keep those requests coming!
