theOtaku.com Anime Podcast IV - Ep. 22

Batou and Tim spend this week hating on cupcakes, Ninja Scroll sequels, coworkers who are obsessed with the Olympics... and to a degree, people who eat dog meat? Definitely the US version of Top Gear, though. In any case, the two of them go through some fun random stuff to listen to. Should make for some fun times to just chill and listen.

August Member Promotions - Congratulations!

It's that time of the month again, the time for members to rise in rank from mere Otakuites to Senior and Legend level.

In addition to normal promotions we have a special announcement. There are now two levels between Otakuite and Senior Otaku: Otakuite+ and Otakuite++. The first takes only one month to reach and the second takes sixth months to reach, with lower activity thresholds. We won't list new Otakuite+ members this time since there are so many, but will start the process next time.

Remember, there are four variables that go into promotions: Frequency of Visits, Length of Registration, Activity (submissions, comment count, etc), and Good Behavior. I personally review all people reaching Otaku Legend status to make sure they are adequate.
