My third Flash game is finally completed, after 2-3 weeks of on and off effort. In the game you play as a mother cloud who has to fly home, thousands of miles, to save its baby from water goblins. The only problem is that flying home so quickly results in famine, so you have to keep eating cloud bits to survive. If you eat too many cloud bits though you become an easy target for the water goblins.
With this game I wanted to capture two things: (1) Parental instincts and (2) The idea of a long journey. The game takes time to "beat" - about 3-4 minutes, and requires as much stamina as reflexes.
From a technical perspective, I'm very proud of the environments. The grass, mountains, rain, snow, and clouds are all 100% randomly drawn.
Click here to play the game. If you make it to the end post how many cloud bits it took for you to get there. Let's see who has the highest and lowest cloud bit count.
The song used is Ocean's Run by Positively Dark.
