Celebrity Chat Guest Announced: Crispin Freeman

As some of you successfully guessed, our celebrity chat session this Sunday, March 8th (2 PM ET / 11 AM PT) is with the legendary voice actor Crispin Freeman. We are thrilled to have Crispin's participation with our humble site because of his reputation in the industry as well as his roles in both old-school and modern series.

Here are a few quick highlights:

  • Itachi from Naruto
  • Hideki Motosuwa from Chobits
  • Holland Novak from Eureka 7
  • Alucard from Hellsing
  • Captain Tylor from Irresponsible Captain Tylor (an old-school show I used to enjoy a lot)
  • Kyon from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
  • Rude from FF7 Advent Children
  • According to Wikipedia he also played a role in the English dub of the movie OldBoy

How do you take part in a celebrity chat? Here's a quick Q&A:

Won't the chat be crazy with so many people typing at once?

Nope. Celebrity chats are moderated, which means that everyone asks questions but our moderator decides what questions the guest sees, one at a time.

What are the odds my question will get answered?

Very good, so long as it's a thoughtful question tailored to the guest and not something generic like "What's your favorite anime?" (which you can easily look up online). Historically, about 90% of all asked questions get answered, though it depends on the number of people who make it as well as how much time the guest has.

How do I enter the chat?

First, you have to be a registered member. So register an account :-). Second, while normally it takes 30 days for a member to gain chat privileges, during celebrity chat sessions, we let everyone in regardless of how long they've been a members.

How long will the chat last?

Exactly one hour. We recommend coming ahead of time so that you get all potential bugs/glitches/etc. out of the way. We also recommend having one or two really good questions written out beforehand. We'll give question-asking priority to people who show up earlier than people who stroll in 20 minutes late.
