Tales of Okuri Tale 1 of 7 Big Bad Wolf Brothers

“So if you’re for looking revenge, you’re barking up the wrong tree.” Okuri said. “I do not understand this. I let out old Seven Tails once, and I’m on the Leaf’s hit list for life…….”

“The Hokage didn’t want me to leave the Village! I had to sneak myself away to come up here!”

An expression of joy began to show on Okuri’s face. “Well, that’s pretty flattering of you!”

“I told you!” old man Masanori shouted. “I told you that he had the mark of the terrible one on his face! You all ignored me, but look now! Now you see he is the monster’s own brother!” The elderly architect would have continued, but Okuri pushed his head into the snow with his foot.

“Quiet fool, can you not see I am in the middle of a family reunion?!?!” Okuri shouted at the old man. Turning back to Kiba and Akamaru, he continued “Ah, you’ll have to forgive me, but my business can be so demanding. But enough about me. What have you and Akamaru been doing since I left?”

This personal question caught Kiba off guard. From what he knew of him, Okuri had become a ruthless monster, killing anyone who got in his way. But this suggested that his brother was not as lost as he originally believed. He thought about that question for a while, and came to the inevitable conclusion: “We’ve been chasing girls around the dog park.”

“Hah! Same as before!” burst Okuri. “But, I presume what you plan to do with the girls once you catch them……..has changed dramatically.” He paused to let Kiba nod his head. “Well, I’m sorry, but I cannot help. While woman is not the most elusive prey, she is certainly the most difficult to catch, even for the most skilled huntsmen such as ourselves. I’m not ashamed to admit I’m no good with women.” A strange look came into his eyes, as if they pierced the mists of time and allowed Okuri to see a moment long past. “No good with women at all…………..”
