Hoshi, still fuming about her lack of control over her inferiors, had nothing nice to say and said nothing. Inuko’s other friends, however, had lots to say. “Too covered up, show him a little skin, I bet he’d love that!” Maiko would say, then she’d try on another outfit and Aya would say “Eugh, that doesn’t match you.” Even Jun would speak up once in a while: “That’s certainly an attention getter.”

When they were all happy with one outfit, Inuko looked herself over in the mirror. “This is nice.” She said, looking in the mirror and spinning around. “He’ll love this shade of red.” She turned to her still angry captain. “What do you think, Hoshi?”

“What do I think?” Hoshi seethed. “Why should I bother answering, you don’t care what I think or you wouldn’t be dressing up for him at all!” She stormed out of the room without another word. Outside, Naoki was waiting for her. “Come on Naoki, we must do something! We can’t just throw a teammate to the wolves!”
