Tales of Okuri Tale 2 of 7 Beauty and the Beasts

“Should we wait any longer?”

“Relax Kiba, the sun hasn’t even set yet.” Okuri murmured from deeper in the cave. “This sudden urgency of yours…..you just want to see that Inuko girl again, don’t you?”

“Ermmm…..yeah. I mean, I had a crush on her before, but that was when I only knew what she looked like. But now….I’ve smelled her now. It’s like…..the difference between looking at a piece of meat in a recipe book and seeing a piece of meat being cooked in front of you. It just makes you want to taste it so much more……..”

Okuri chuckled. “I don’t think women like being compared to pieces of meat.”

“That was just a metaphor!”

“Actually, it was a simile.”

“What do you know about women anyways?”

“Kiba, when we go tonight, I am going to walk into Masanori’s office and have a good long talk with him about the statue he’s carving out. I suspect that the moment I go in, you’re going to start hitting on Inuko. Would that be a correct assumption?” Okuri asked. Seeing Kiba nod, he continued. “Well, I know for a fact you can’t talk with a girl when she’s with her friends. You have to be, what, in another room or somewhere they can’t watch. But you certainly can’t just kill her friends either. It’s almost like hunting something that lives in a herd: you pick a target, break it off from the group, and then make your move. Akamaru, do you think you could keep the other Bushin Geisha occupied?” Akamaru barked a positive answer. “Well, in that case, the plan is set. Now I just have to teach you what little I know about women.”
