Maiko looked at her watch. “We’ve still got 40 minutes, Inuko.” This did not seem to calm her friend down much. Maiko was quite concerned about her; but of course it was natural of her to be anxious on her first date. There were still many things she could worry about: what if this Kiba guy stood Inuko up? He didn’t seem the sort to do something so cruel, but what if the oldest brother, Okuri, called him away? As far as she understood, Okuri’s will was unquestionable.

Inuko looked around and spotted a cave with a pool of water near the entrance. “Bathing pool!” she cried, running towards it. Excellent! A chance for her to freshen up! She certainly had the time. Slipping off her outfit and diving into the pool, she was suddenly overwhelmed by the smell of alcohol. She sniffed the air confusedly, then tasted a bit of the water. Sake? She couldn’t identify the brand; it was as if various brands had been mixed together. Well, whatever. Everybody knew alcohol was a better cleanser than water anyways…….

Kiba gazed up at the ceiling, and decided it was time for him to go. He sat up, scratched the back of his head and sighed. He needed some sake. Standing up, he began to scan the area for a cup that hadn’t been broken or cracked in some way. Finding one, he picked it up and headed towards the opening of the cave.

Bending down to scoop up sake from the pool, he began to wonder whether or not he was ready for this as a man. Lifting the cup to his lips, he concluded that it didn’t matter; he was going tonight because this was an opportunity he couldn’t afford to miss. This wasn’t like with Hinata, there was no other guy he had to compete with for attention. Finally, he could focus on making a girl happy instead of busting his ass for attention. As he tilted his head back to drink, he noticed that Inuko had been bathing in the sake pool. And she had just noticed him.

She screamed and covered herself. He spewed his morning drink and dropped the cup, which shattered on the cave floor. As he lowered his head out of shame, she made a mad dash for the exit. “Great, just great.” Kiba murmured to himself. “Perfect way to start a date.” He waited 20 seconds or so, and then called out “You dressed yet?” Only when he got an affirmative answer from Inuko did he raise his head. Keeping a hand to his face in embarrassment, he walked out of the cave and into the moonlit night. Yes, there was Inuko, fully clothed in a gorgeous red dress. “Well, that was unexpected. Let us never speak of this again.” He said, pulling his hand away from his face. In doing so, his newly uncovered eye spotted 3 of the other Bushin Geisha. Uh-oh. He didn’t invite them……
