That was how they ended up stranded in the middle of the mountains in the first place...
There had been an avalanche as soon as the bus reached their location, leaving everyone on the bus stranded in the middle of nowhere. Of course, by the time morning came, all of panicky people were mysteriously...gone. It was kind of weird...
"What do we do?" Trish asked, looking around. They found refuge in a cave nearby and Naruto was pacing.
"Okay, it seems like this is a crazy survival of the fittest since our phones don't work or anything," Naruto stared, and Trish started fiddling around with her purse.
"Naruto?"
"Hm?"
"My phone still has service."
"THEN WE'RE NOT STRANDED?!"
"No...I think the others called for help hours ago."
"Then why are we still here?!" Naruto gaped at her. "I mean you could've told me that so I stopped panicking or something! God, Trish!"
Trish shrank back a bit. "I just wanted to ask why you wanted to go on this trip, ok? I didn't want to have to wait until someone picked us up to talk about it."
Naruto's expression softened "...I'm sorry..."
She swatted at him, pouting. "That's not an answer!" She sighed, "I would have been happy to stay home and do some...um..." She blushed. "Some couple stuff."
"I just..." Naruto sighed, sitting down beside her. "I wanted you to be happy! I mean...you said you've never seen a white Christmas so I wanted to give you one..."
Trish couldn't help but make an "aww" sound. "You didn't have to..."
"Besides..." Naruto admitted rather sheepishly, "I didn't know what else to erm...get you."
The brunette just hugged him. "Naruto...being with you on Christmas is the best thing I can ask for." It was so flustering to say that her cheeks lit a perfect crimson that betrayed her emotions.
Naruto's ears tinged pink, almost matching her expression. "Really?"
"Yes."
He wrapped his arms around her. "Then as long as you're happy, I'm happy too." After a few moments of silent hugging, Naruto grabbed the phone. "Now let's GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE!"
