Well now, what to say. Seeing as myO is pretty much dead in the water, and the users have been scattered across the vastness of the internet, Petie (my esteemed reader/subscriber ... wait, that seems to narrow down the viewing audience a bit doesn't it? I guess I'll need to do something about that or I'll probably drop off the face of the net due to lack of motivation :\) Well ... I'm here anyhow. I guess I'm sort of in a "now what" sort of situation. What to do? What to type? That's enough of THAT babble for now ... lets babble about something else for a while.
I guess I could type out the last year or so in about a paragraph or two. Lets try that. Weekends have more or less consisted of work/sleep work/sleep work/sleep. Pretty bland. Yeah. Weekdays are probably equally bland, but they involve me keeping entertained instead of making money ... which usually involves spending it. It would seem music was my number one entertainment source there. I've actually ran into a few good things too that I hadn't heard before. Opeth, Dream Theater, and Sympony X are a few examples here. I've also been getting into video game music a bit, weird as it may be. Kind of nostalgic listening to video game music really.
Okay, so that's not all going to fit in a single paragraph afterall. Lets move on to my nutsy assed line of thought. I've taken a few steps back to look at things. How I look at myself and how I look at the world around me are the prime things here. As a consequence I'm not quite as negative as I used to be. If possible I'm even more laid back than I used to be. The new motto that's making that possible? "I.D.G.A.R.A.(I don't give a rats ass) Why this frightful new perspective? Well, this is where reevaluating how I look at things came in. I've taken my skepticism of the world around me to new extremes. Look up what Carneades had to say, and well, what I'm thinking is sort of like that. This, applied globally ... well, it's quite the new outlook for me. I suppose it has changed me in other ways as well, but I've gone on about that for more than long enough now also.
In other news, a month or so ago I set out to write a script for batch downloading of things. I've dubbed it, megadownloader. It works well. For now it can download things in sequence by date or number. http://www.xnowherex.com/megadownloader/megadownloader.tar.bz2
I'll be putting my website back online soon too. I have a design more or less ready to use. I just need to take care of some other things. One issue is the lack of content. Another is my lack of motivation. Still more I want to read this book on Rails first.
Lets see here, in more recent history, I've also gotten back into Anime. How I more or less went without it like that is beyond me at this piont. In the last couple months I've gone through Blue Gender, Kimiga Nozume Eien, Maburaho, Gundam Seed, Madlax, and Full Metal Panic TSR.
Umm. Wow. That was too much for one post. Oh well.
