I was worried about not being able to post this due to time and other restraints, but its 11:07PM and I'm not a person who goes back on his word, so you know I'm doing this.
OK, so I have a spreadsheet of how I'm going to do this Countdown.
And day 1 of this Countdown is the most predictable vanilla posting of an anime OP/ED.
Day 1 of this Countdown is "Shonen Anime Day" so you know what's coming!
- #1 Anime Opening as well as #1 "Naruto/Naruto: Shippuden" opening goes to
Naruto: Shippuden Opening 16

If you don't trust the link, consider this, I had to go to this website to retrieve the link to put in this post.
Anyways, this Opening has to be the absolute best of all Naruto and Naruto Shippuden openings (and Part 1 Naruto had some great openings, mind you) and it is so good that it has been used multiple times.
I've seen "Kana-Boon" as part of the trailer to the new "Boruto" movie and I think I saw it featured for the new Storm 4 game.
I love this Opening because the soundtrack alone is outstanding, but I also adore how the animation of the opening blends perfectly with all that's provided.
I have recounted times where I would replay the beginning of an episode of Shippuden just to intake all of that opening sequence because one of these two things will distract you at least once:
1- How great and catchy the song is
2- That part where Madara starts dashing through Sasuke's attacks...Or other parts of the opening
I know many people hate "Naruto" and Shonen anime in general because of how massive and popular it has become, but I can say with confidence that Opening 16 is the best Opening in both Naruto and in all of Shonen anime.
(And the flame war begins)
- #1 Anime ending
Naruto Shippuden ED #6
"Broken Youth" by Nico Touches the Walls

It was a hard choice because there was another Naruto ED that I thoroughly enjoyed, but no other ED has more replay value than this song.
Nico Touches The Walls is a great band; they're kinda like Diggy-MO in how their songs have been used in a lot of anime, but one thing that the two have in common is that their songs can also be great as stand-alone songs.
I won't always have to remember this song from an anime and that only, this is a song that I would just like to have on my phone or as a ringtone (because who uses those anymore? Since modern phones won't let your voice recordings be used as ringtones, I haven't used a ringtone since 2011!!) and I've looked up the lyrics and tried to memorize the song and I have a good 34% of it memorized.
Broken Youth enacts a lot of feels because of the volume and because it resonates greatly with a lot of hard-rockers like me who type of rock genre.
But this goes above all other shonen endings because I've noticed that a lot of the endings are more energetic songs overall, but I personally don't find an energetic song to be fit for an ending...You're supposed to be sad that its ending, not pumped up about it!
So that's day 1, hope you enjoyed this wordy post.
