"So far into the darkness that I can no longer see the light...and I like it..."
~Lexian
Remember, darkness does not always equal to evil. Just as light does not always bring good.
~Nyx
"Could one such as I, one without a heart, dare say they have felt the emotion of Love...or was it an illusion cast upon me in this endless darkness?"
-RaXi-
"It doesn't matter how pure, full of light your heart is, It doesn't matter how cold, full of darkness your heart is. What matters is knowing if you made the right choice or not"
~Xemmsur
"Strength decides who lives and who dies. If you're strong, you survive; while if you're weak, you simply fade away. There is no "In-Between"."

Awaken, my pretty

I slowly opened my eyes, i swear i had only been asleep for one second when someone began to yell and beat down doors....i didn't care who it was but i was soo tired. i tried to fall back to sleep again i felt something wasn't right. Ever since i had first become a nobody i had trained so that whenever i inhaled was filtered, whether it be dirt, dust or other fine particles that floated in the air. Unlike normal there seemed to be something heavier in the air. As my eyes ajusted i could see what looked like, fairy dust floating above me. That was weird. i followed the dusts trail and eventually my sight rested on Jezabelle, she was producing fruit again.

I shot up from my bed and went over to her. On the ground was the crushed gourd, i didn't mind, the gourd had only been small enough to hold a mouthful or so of liquid. I bet over and examined the fruit further. It's Lime green skin made it stand out against Jezabelles's dark green folage.

"oh, look Jezabelle. Your fruiting again." she growled at the fruit. the first time i had seen this fruit i planted the seed and well to put it bluntly Jezabelle got Jelous and ate up her offspring, so this time like all the rest i was going to eat the fruit. It was a marvellous thing, if you were injured you got healed and then it rejuvinated you. which was EXACTLY what i need.

"Ok Jez, one two, THREE." i ripped the fruit off and then cut it in two. The flesh of the fruit was a Flouro pink, and it had always seemed odd to me. I peeled off the skin of one half and ate it. i had learnt from watching a bunch eat the fruit that the skin and seed where highly poisonous i through the skin into the bin, and continued eating. I could feel the juices running into all the cells of my body reenergising me. I looked at the other half and wondered what to do.

I walked down the hall to Ximh's room and knocked on the door. he didn't answear and after a breif check i found that he was with Rexikat, i listened to their conversation a bit and i sounded like they were heading to the kitchen to get something to eat. I searched the rest of the castle to find if there was anyone else here.... Tris was in his room but his breath was heavy... I made a porthole to his room and knocked on his door.

"GO AWAY" he yelled, yet even without seeing him i could tell he was in pain.
I opened a porthole and walked through it into his room.
"I told you to GO AWAY." he growled. He was on his knees, sweat dripping from his brow. He was in pain beyond that which anyone should feel. I bent down and streching out my hand placed the fruit in his eye sight.
"Eat this, it'll help." he continued to grit his teeth but i was trying to help him and for heavan sake i was going to make him eat this fruit no matter what.
"You know i don't care what you plan to say to me to get me outta your room, but trust me it's NOT going to work. Just eat this up, then you'll heal. After that you can yell at me with wild abandon..." i took the fruit out from his sight and started to peel the skin off. Tris sat up and looked at me, but before he could say anything i shoved the fruit back in his face.

"I don't care if it's rude just eat and talk at the same time." he grabbed the fruit off me and examined it. i figured he was trying to decide wether or not i had poisoned it. Slowly he decided to test it He took a small bite first, then accepting the taste and results ate the rest quickly. I smirked at the whole situation, he was reluctant to let someone help him, but then again so where most of the nobodies in this place.

"Never barge in here without my permission." Tris's voice snapped my back to reality and i tunred to look at him.
"Understood." i stood up and headed towards the door. "you might not belive it but i know what it's like. To be that someone, that EVERYONE looks up to. But some words of wisdom that always seemed to stay in my head... Better to be mericeful and well liked, then merciless and hated." i exited on that note. I didn't want to stay with Tris, even though i said he could yell at me with wild abandon i didn't really want to stay there and let him.

I walked out into the enterance hall, and seeing as i was feeling happy i decided to walk on the rafters. Thats where i saw it again this 'Fairy dust' i watched as it leaked outside through the crack in the main gate. I went to the closest window and watched as it came back and went into the pouch of the little blonde hair girl i had seen before. Closer up, i could tell that i had been right. She must have been a relative of Le Suxube. I listened as she said.
"Dat' bête noire is 'ere. I shall give 'er the comme il faut, like she did my sis'er"

Fight.......

"I don't want to fight!" I said quickly. "I'm a lover not a fighter!"

"Oh now now ladies man," Melixha laughed. "Don't think I won't beat down a gentle man." She jumped forwards again, and I blocked again.

"I seriously don't want to fight a lady!" I said over again.

Suddenly I felt a shock of electricity. It ran straight though my system and I fell over all my nerves were in shock. My muscles twitched forcing my into different positions.

"Well this is what'cha get lover boy," Melixha laughed. "Shocking isn't it?"

"You did not just use that pun," I said trying to fight off the electricity.

"Get her Stitch!" Lilo yelled. Stitch jumped fowards again and managed to bite at Melixha. She shook him off quickly and aimed a dagger at Lilo.

"Little girl," Melixha growled. "If you want to die so badly be it."

Suddenly electricity ran through the dagger, and Melixha threw it straight at Lilo.

"No!" I yelled.

My scythe formed in an in instant the dagger was refracted off the metal. I slashed straight through the electricity. Lilo looked up at me, but I kept my glare at Melixha.

"How.....that should have paralyzed you...." Melixha said quietly.

"Paralyzed or not the Gentle Man can move when he wants to," I answered. "And this geltle man will not have you hurting this little girl. For it is the geltle man's code-"

"Aw will you shut it!" Melixha cut in. "I don't need to hear anything from a play boy like you."

Melixha threw a dagger but I slashed it away. I was not in the mood to be trifled with. I shot straight fowards and brought my Wave Scythe down instantly. The water in the glasses began to move begging to be let out of their containers. Melixha was forced to dodge more as I slashed down harder and hard. Finally I backed her into a corner.

"What'cha plan to do Ladies Man?" Melixha taunted. "Beat up a pretty lady while she's trapped in a corner? That's not very gentle man of you....."

"You don't deserve to be treated as a lady for the way you treated Lilo and Nani. Man, woman, I don't care what you are. If you treat people like that they you deserve to disappear," I answered glaring straight at her. There was a long silence after that.

Complication

Consciousness returned to me like a wave receding into the ocean. I heard a faint pounding sound, and thought it was just in my head, the pain I was feeling. When the noise only got louder, I realized it was reality, knocking at my door.

"Rex...it's Ximh!"

...Or maybe it was just Ximh. The sound of his voice calling me seemed muffled, like my ears were stuffed with cotton. I couldn't move, couldn't open my mouth to answer, couldn't open my eyes to see as he broke into my room. He rushed over to me, lifted my face off the floor, and started patting me. "REX! Hey! Wake up...what happened?"

What happened was a good question. I struggled to open my eyes, to try and catch something that would jump start my memory. I saw the blurry image of Ximh's spiky hair, my room swirled around in the background. I tried to pick myself off the floor, but found I couldn't even move, and panicked.

Reverting back to my baser instincts, my eyes snapped open wide and my breathing grew harsh and fast. With frantic motions, my hands twitched as I tried to claw my way out of Ximh's arms, but he held on fast. "Hang on a minute, Rex," he said. "It's just me, Ximh. You know? Orange spiky hair dude? Electricity all over the place? Newbie you swore to protect?"

Ximh...my mind cleared up as I recognized him. "Ximh..." I managed to rasp out his name after a couple attempts at speech. "What happened?"

He shrugged awkwardly, helping me off the ground. "I dunno. I was hoping you could tell me," he said, as I staggered over to my window seat. Plunking down gracelessly, I held my head in my hands, trying to press back the dull pain that resonated. I glanced around the room, looking for some clue...my chains on the floor...traces of a dark energy...pictures of Giovanni, Dorian, and Kateri on my dresser...

I slapped a palm to my forehead as a sharp pain raced through it. Giovanni...the Leader..."That bastard," I growled as I remembered. Ximh looked at me worriedly.

"The Leader," I said, "he found out about my--something I did, and came here...how long have I been out?" I had almost informed Ximh of my actions. Thankfully I caught myself.

He shrugged. "I don't know," he admitted. "I just got back from a mission myself. Rex...are you alright?"

I ran a hand through my wild hair. The Leader had gotten inside of my mind...past the barriers I always had in place...and completely terrorized my mind. Forcing me to relive those foreign memories that still flashed in my own mind was the worst thing in the world. Stripping the layers away and shoving my own secret desires in my face was even worse. Of course everything he had said was true: after seeing the look on Giovanni's face as he died that night, how could I not feel guilty?

"Perhaps the question is how could I feel guilty," I said lowly with a mirthless laugh.

"Huh?"

I shook my head. "Nothing, Ximh," I said to him.

"No," he said slowly, "I heard what you said, but...maybe" He trailed off, and I looked to him expectantly. "There are more ways--"

I sighed in disgust. "--to feel than through a heart. I'm beginning to get the point, thanks much," I finished for him. It seemed like everyone around me was on the same page, determined to leave me out of the loop. I slumped back against the window, suddenly exhausted.

"I-I didn't mean to make you upset," Ximh said quietly. "It's just...I've been experiencing some things lately, and it's making me wonder."

We sat in companionable silence for a short while, each of us caught up in our thoughts. Maybe...maybe it was just my destiny to yearn for that which I didn't have, the huntress in me. It would make sense, after all. The ultimate hunt: a quest to feel, the very thing lacking that makes me who I am. But to feel would be to deny my very nature, undo everything that made me strong. I sighed.

"Ximh," I said.

"Yeah," he replied.

"To be nonexistent is the most complicated thing in the world. More complicated than life itself," I complained.

He snorted, and smiled at me. "You're telling me? I think I'm about to have girl problems. My drama so beats your drama."

For a moment, we just stared at each other, and then we laughed. "Ooh, girl drama. Not even being tortured by the Leader beats that," I said, only partly kidding.

"Yeah," he replied, understanding. I nudged him in the side. "If you ever need help or anything," I said quietly, fidgeting a little, "I've got memories on the subject, you know. I can help you out."

He smiled again. "Thanks," he said. "I don't know how, but if you need my help in any way..."

"I'll give you a holler. Not that I will, mind you. I'm a very independent person," I said boldly, trying to save whatever was left of my badass reputation.

"Sure," said Ximh with a nod. He got up to leave, and then turned back to me. "Hey, do you want something to eat? I'm pretty hungry myself, and you look like you could use something."

I nodded, and made to get up to my feet, and would have collapsed to the floor, were it not for Ximh's quick action. He held me around the waist as I gathered my bearings and stood up straight. "Maybe I should just bring you back something," he said, unsure.

"No," I growled, feeling a little more like myself. "I will not have food brought to me like some invalid. It takes more than a little torture to put me out of commission."

Ximh looked worried, but helped me out the door anyway. "If you say so," he said, and we headed down the hallway towards the kitchen.

A Lead...Somewhat....

I stood at the main gate for awhile. It was so hard just trying to figure out where to begin...I already dreaded the results of my excursion. Finally making up my mind...I opened a portal to Radiant Garden. I stood in the lively marketplace...not too far from which I had once sat and decided to fade from the worlds completely. The place that Vincent had found me...

Anytime I needed answers...somehow this world gave them to me. Though to be honest I felt foolish expecting them now. I mean, I didn't even know what I was looking for...how would I even recognize it when it appeared before me? I wandered to that memorable place...I could almost see it play out once more before my eyes. That rainy day...

"A scattered dream that's like a far-off memory..." A familiar voice suddenly spoke from somewhere nearby. It snapped me from my daze instantly...I looked around, but saw no one.

"A far-off memory that's like a scattered dream..." The Voice continued. I recognized the voice...it was MINE. I was running towards it...I knew I was close.

"I want to line the pieces up---" SO CLOSE. I rounded the corner.

"Yours and Mine."

I stood before the source of the voice as she concluded the sentence. The timing of it all was almost eerie. Her eyes were a piercing and intense blue as her head lifted to meet mine from underneath the hood of her traveling cloak. She smiled at me...it was like looking in a mirror.

"Ari." I snarled. A dagger already in my hand I stomped forward...ready to fulfill my promise. Yet she seized my wrist...just before it plummeted into her chest.

"It's been so long RaXi...I've missed you." She smiled. "Well how about it...ready to become one yet?"

I put my dagger away and looked at her crossly. "That's not possible Ari...so why do you jest?"

She laughed. "I know...pretty cruel of me right? Guess it's just my way of hitting you where it hurts. Sorry..."

"What do you want? You've obviously come seeking me...or have you forgotten my promise to you? Do you seek death? Come willingly to embrace it?"

"I'll admit it freely RaXi. You're superior to me in almost every way. You have the combat skills, strategic skills, and even a certain strength of character that isn't easily broken..." Ari confessed. "But I've grown since we met last...while my fighting ability is minimal, I've gained wisdom in certain areas."

I looked away. I didn't know what she was trying to prove to me.

"We are unique...I owe you everything RaXi. If not for you being created...I'd have died there...miserable and alone. But you gave me my life..." She continued. "And so I always wanted to repay that debt to you. That's why...all those years ago I was willing to give it all up...to become one with you...and allow you full control."

"Yet it was impossible." I clarified. "Since we had grown up so differently...we had become two separate beings...with different ideas and agendas, unable to fuse into one. The only similarities we share now...are our looks. Nothing more."

"Yes. So we made a promise that day...that next we met...you would rightfully claim my heart as your own." Ari smirked. "But that is not the reason I came to you. You know that annoying little link we share? It has been appearing to me recently...you must REALLY care about them RaXi. I'm jealous...I'm the one with the heart...yet you feel more than I ever did."

My dagger appeared again and was at her throat. I drew blood. "Stay out of my business." I warned.

She merely smiled again. It was truly annoying how little she thought of my threats. "Why don't you finish it RaXi? Getting rid of one's weaknesses is a common practice...is it not? But...you always seem to take pity on me..."

I pulled the dagger away once more, regaining my composure. "We all have weaknesses Ari...one only needs discover how to expose the weaknesses of others to gain the advantage."

"I could be used against you one of these days. Yet...you let me live." Ari stated fixing her cloak. "Of course...you planned for that scenario as well. Should that happen, you promised me that you would kill me with your own hands. In all things...I am prepared for that death...whenever you seek to fulfill your promise."

"Ari, get to the point already. What do you want? I doubt you sought me out to simply reconfirm the standing of our past promises." I was tiring of this...

"I came to repay the debt I owe you. Not with blood...but with information. About the quest you've embarked on. You want to know how to free them...don't you? The ones you love..."

"I don't love them!" I denied quickly. Yet my curiosity peaked...How could she have information on such things?

"Sure, whatever RaXi." Ari dismissed. "Just listen to me for once. The information you want exists...it's just scattered throughout the worlds. But like anything...you ask the right person...and they'll tell you what you want to know. Here's a list. Start at the top and work your way down...I'm sure they'll be very helpful. Yet...in the end, you'll have to decide whose word to take. I won't be able to do anymore than this."

I took the paper she held out to me and read the names on it. "You're kidding. Why would they know the answers I seek?"

"Why wouldn't they?" She rebuked with yet another smirk.

"Fine. I'll try it..." I admitted and turned away. "I will spare your life this time Ari but next we meet..."

"...I will tear your heart from your chest and take it as my own. Yeah Yeah RaXi, don't you tire of saying that? You say it every time you see me...but you know...I'm still waiting for the follow-through." Ari interrupted. "Good luck. I wish for your happiness RaXi. You deserve it."

"Pfft. Sure you do." I dismissed opening up a portal to the first contact's world. "Don't cross my path again Ari. Next time I mean it."

The portal closed instantly. Ari smiled fondly at her other half. "I really wish I could've given you my heart RaXi...but I know you fear it. I'll never be a burden to you...so please...just find happiness out there..."

I appeared in a lively forest. Forest creatures scampered about happily and I sighed rolling my eyes. I swear...if this list didn't get me anywhere...I'd find Ari again and tear her apart. I walked down the forest path to it's end...a tiny little cottage...

~RaXi

Too Confusing...

I didn't know what was up with me...was I still in a daze from what had happened?? I had just...KISSED Kyxsha out of nowhere. She would probably hate me...for doing something like that without her permission...girls were always so particular about that. Yet...why were these feelings running through me in the first place...I was totally off now. I had a heightened pulse, my face was hot...and the signals in my brain were going haywire again. I walked over and plopped down in bed...

This was off. I guess...even though I KNEW I was a Nobody...ever since getting my memories back...I just didn't feel like one. I mean, I felt so ALIVE...as though...it wasn't possible that I COULDN'T exist. I had substance...I could feel, I could fight, I voiced my opinions...didn't these things mean anything at all?

I felt a sudden spike of energy from Triskix's room. Remembering the earlier battle, I wondered if the person defending had failed and the intruder was now inside Castle walls. I jumped up and took off towards Triskix's room. Climbing up the stairway hastily, it was gone...in an instant. I stopped...maybe Triskix was just releasing some power...I was overreacting. I remembered Rexikat's room being around here somewhere. I wondered if I should see if she did alright on her mission...it had already been awhile since we spoke. Since the day we all came together for our assignments.

I got to the door and knocked. "Rex...It's Ximh!" I called out when she didn't answer immediately. "Rex...come on....let me in!" Sighing slightly, I gave up and started downstairs...yet something was telling me to go back. It didn't feel right...even if she was dead asleep...I was sure she'd at least call out to tell me to go away. Why was it so quiet?

"UGH!" I growled going back. It would continually nag at me until I discovered why...so I tried once more. "REXIKAT! OPEN UP!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. I was sure I'd wake everyone in the entire castle with my volume. "FINE! I'm coming in!!" I turned the knob...it was locked, of course. >.< So, I broke it in. She would have to forgive me...but the longer it took to get in...the more impatient and anxious I was becoming. As soon as it was down I saw her...unconscious on the floor...her chains out, laying on the ground limp.

"REX!" I shouted rushing to her. I patted her face lightly as I lifted her off the floor. "Hey...wake up! What happened?!" I spoke eagerly. Now I DID wonder if there was an intruder...I didn't sense anything wrong anymore...perhaps Triskix had dealt with them...I don't know...this was getting confusing. I mean...who would hurt Rexikat? I just wished she would wake up and answer my questions!

As though on command...slowly she began to open her eyes...
