This wasn't right...every time I got close to injuring Serix...he would somehow deflect my attack. And he would do so without me being able to see just HOW he was doing it...without seeing it...I could not learn or plan for it. Therefore, every time I seemed to be thwarted. Yet I wasn't so fortunate. I had the wounds to show for it. Each time I had come in for an attack...I had taken a chance. And taking chances meant I paid for them in blood. My wounds healed very slowly thanks to my new ability...but only using as much energy as I could divert to do so, which wasn't much at all.
He had a strange sword...a blade that seemed to be made out of pure energy...this is what had caused me the most grief. Every time I would plan it's path and move to evade it...it would somehow still manage to cut me...not only wounding my body and pride...but irritating me greatly. I knew he was using Anamx as his energy source somehow...through some sort of mirror I imagined...and yet this mirror had yet to make its appearance. It was all so annoying...this wouldn't be the normal short battles I was used to...oh no...perhaps this opponent could be WORTH my time...
Breathing deeply I slowly rose my power, taking away from my healing. I needn't trifle with small wounds...no...I would focus everything into getting my sword into this foe. All I needed was one good cut on him...and then he would be at my mercy.
We clashed swords, standing in a deadlock...both of us grinding against the other with sheer force.
"Why don't you just give up...you've no use for him...why are you so persistent?" Serix grumbled...still wearing his annoying straight faced expression.
"You're right...I've absolutely no use for him...but that doesn't mean I will leave him with you." I growled back. "Besides...you've made this personal...insulting my pride the way you have..."
"Hah...what's this...egotistical as WELL As Stubborn?" Serix commented. "What's wrong, Ice Queen? Are you angered by the fact I've managed to wound you greatly...yet you've yet to inflict a single wound on me?!"
I smiled. The timing couldn't have been better...just as he said his final words a spear of ice shot from the wall just behind him...careening through his shoulder. As it came out the other side I grasped it firmly, twisted it and threw it back at him in an almost liquid movement. He dodged it's second route, but wasn't as prepared for my onslaught of attacks following the path of the spear. I had knocked him off his game for only a moment, but that had been enough for me to get a good clean opening. And I took it with fearsome vigilance. Making sure I had him, I laid down the pain on him for the first time in our battle.
"GGGGRAAAAAAAAAUGH!!" He forced me back with a strong horizontal slash to counter my flurry of blows, unable to dodge efficiently my only option was to form a shield of ice...it was small though and shattered under the force of his swing...sending me back quite a few feet, yet I remained standing, a most satisfactory grin plastered on my face.
"And now...we are almost even..." I muttered glaring at him as he recovered from the shock.
"This means nothing..."
And perhaps he was right...but I begged to differ. We clashed, and the more he attacked me...the less he made contact. The same could be said of me, however, I no longer needed to make any further moves on him. Now, my victory was assured. It was all a matter of time now...
I began to notice, in the corner of the room a slight haze. I had paid it no mind...but the longer we fought...the more exhausted we two combatants became...the more visible it became to me. The bottom of...what was it? A...mirror?
I was unable to confirm it...every time my attention was turned towards that corner, Serix would always do SOMETHING to take my eyes off it...he was protecting something there. Guarding it desperately almost...
I expanded the ice in the room. Trying to cover it completely and most importantly, take control of that corner! I was amazed by Serix's diligence...the wounds I had inflicted seemed to have almost no effect on him. He truly seemed to hold no emotion whatsoever. Come to think of it, he was a most efficient adversary. He didn't make unnecessary or foolish moves based on emotion, he was strategic and precise. I almost would enjoy this more...if not for the fact that I was thoroughly irritated with him. As the ice reached the corner in question, Serix made a desperate move for me...he began to swing at ME now...with fierce intent to kill for the first time. Before it had seemed he was merely toying with me...like some sadistic freak...yet now he was actually trying...why now?
His lips were starting to turn blue from the ice in his blood...it was multiplying at a good rate...yet my eyes wandered to the corner. He slashed me, I barely managed to divert the blow...only slightly. He slashed the side of my waist...and my arm clamped down to grab his blade.
"As I thought...a little trick I see..." I managed. "You can't keep it hidden now...take a look..."
The corner was covered in my ice, yet part of my ice had extended beyond the wall...covering something that was previously hidden from my sight. The perfect size and shape of one of Serix's most prized mirrors. This one had to be quite important...after all...he'd gotten rather defensive...made a rash move when previously he hadn't done that.
"It doesn't matter...someone like you could never break my mirror..." He muttered.
"A Challenge?" I sneered. Snarling I released her....not fully...but enough to do the job. My face became darkened by her presence as I swiftly gripped Serix by the throat, the ice in his blood slowed his movements...making it impossible for him to divert MY quickened movements. He dropped his blade and dug into my hand, but my target wasn't him...I threw him to the side hard...making a beeline to the mirror. Putting all my force into my fist I smashed clear through it...sending it's scattered pieces flying along with shards of ice. Thanks to placing so much power in one move however...I was unable to maintain her for any longer...I leaned on the wall as I decreased in power...all the way back down to my normal state...the injuries...the energy spent...it all caught up at once. It was devastating...but I had to keep it together...the mirror was destroyed...but what had that wrought?
Serix reeled on the floor...something had severely affected him...but I had yet to see any real change. Suddenly Marlex appeared with Anamx in his arms...he'd returned when I told him to get away!!! But...this time I was glad...I couldn't take another battle...
"RAXI!" He shouted rushing over to my side. "Anamx is...he...he started glowing...what's going on? Are you alright?"
"I don't know..." I muttered...I wasn't feeling too up to conversation at the moment...no...I was having enough trouble keeping conscious.
"RaXi?!!" Another voice interjected from the entrance to the room. My vision faded in and out as I turned to it...pink...loads of pink...a dress perhaps...and atop the figure's head was a huge straw hat...she looked like a figure straight out of a beach scene...I was hallucinating... "I felt your drop in power...what's going on?! Where's the enemy?!" She seemed to take a defensive pose against Marlex...
"No...he's not the enemy. The enemy is there...uh....uh..."
"Kyxsha!" She shouted. "RaXi...are you alright?"
Feeling absolutely drained I fell to my knees...yet resisted the urge to all out collapse. That mirror had been harder to break than I thought...and if I'm not mistaken...when I'd struck it...it'd seemed to "absorb" some of the energy from my attack...draining me far more.
Before I could answer, Serix had risen to his feet...he was clutching his head with his hand and slowly backed into a portal. "I.....will...ugh....NOT forget this!!!!" He shouted...with far more ferocity than I even knew he possessed...as though he actually had emotion...Since he was retreating, I nullified the crystals in his bloodstream...using the energy spent on it for myself...to stay awake. The portal closed and he was gone.
I struggled to get back to my feet. Kyxsha helped me, but I pulled away from her stubbornly, turning to her defensively. "Kyxsha...why are you here? Have you come on Xraktos's orders?" I asked her cruelly. I didn't care how weak I was...if it turned out she was an enemy...I would have to fight her. The only thing that man would ever order was my death...I would not fall prey to him...under NO circumstance.

Alright, time for a long epilogue.
I had loads of ideas for this battle...but they all up and vanished when my family issues hit me. I'm sorry if it turned out differently than I had planned...but I was severely blocked until today. >.<' I hope this went well, I thought it was rather cool having such a close match. XD Also Mei, I left it open on just WHAT happened from breaking that mirror of his. XD In case you wanted to do the scene. ^~
And Kill Sasuke! You can go ahead and continue, I left it open for ya. ^~ RaXi still has plenty of energy to create portals, so don't misunderstand lol she ALWAYS has enough to do that. So, she'll take ya where you wanna go. Just thought this would be rather exciting, having her question your loyalty. LOL
Finally...I haven't fully caught up yet...can someone please sum up the last few pages for me? TT-TT I'm only like 4 pages behind...PLEASE!! OwO <-begging face LOL
