The Thunder of Battle

Triskix

“Alright then let’s get moving,” I said. This was going to be fun in any definition you stuck to the word. The order of Oblivion would be restored, or....the thought appeared in the back of my mind...Or I would burn it to the ground..... I had seen enough of what someone could do with the castle, and if we could not reclaim what had been a birth right, then the castle truly deserved to burn.

I opened a portal towards Oblivion, and for a split second, I caught myself wondering on something frivolous. I pushed the thought away, there was no time to be thinking about anything other than the mission. Anything less was circumventing the order that demanded to be restored.

We all entered the portal silently, and in a split second, we were at the front gate of oblivion. I breathed out a bit. The scars running along my skin were burning, and an almost form of anger ran though me. What a fool I was to let myself be used in this way. NEVER AGAIN!

“Wow, it’s weird to be back here,” Sarixen commented mildly as we walked in.

I nodded silently, but my thoughts were elsewhere. Where was Xraktos at this point? What was he doing? I wanted to fight him. I wanted to punish him for everything. He was a traitor to his original order Cruxis. He was ruled by emotion...rage. And yet there was a resonance in everything, he did it for someone. I shook my head and dissipated the thoughts.

“Huh Triskix,” Xemmsur said looking over at me. I knew I had missed at least half of what she had said, and Sarixen's disapproving eye seemed to look straight at me that seemed to say 'Don't forget why we're here'.

“Well we better move fast leader will sense that we are all here, especially you Tris. Where do we head first?” Xemmsur continued.

"He's already sensed us," I answered, "But something is keeping him at bay."

"We don't have time to be fooling around then," Liliax answered.

This subtitle pun would have caused us all to crack up laughing in child-hood, but now it was true. There were matters needing to be done. I caught Nevx and Ranx looking at each other, but then both of them turned their heads back to the task.

I stepped forwards and started walking down to the basement levels. "The castle has changed in years," I said heading straight for the dungeon. "But I know it all."

There was nothing but silence that followed as we all descended the levels. As we reached the fourth to bottom-most basement level, a sorcerer nobody attacked. I was about to form my scythe when they were instantly beaten back and destroyed by a staff. As more lesser nobodies appeared, Sarixen wielding his staff, rammed them like a football player.

All the lesser nobodies were instantly destroyed, and as Sarixen stepped back, I nodded a bit. None of us talked, but we each drew our weapons and continued descending.

Once our feet reached the third to most bottom level, my eye caught what could only be described as an old man riding on a hemisphere and hovering a few feet above the ground.

"Just as Kratos said," the man commented. "Welcome to the third basement level intruders."

"A more truthful comment would be that you are the intruder," I answered forming my scythe.

"Just one moment," Liliax said. "Triskix, it is not your mission to fight. Yours is to break the other nobodies out of prison. I am perfectly capable of taking care of this man myself."

"You either think too highly of yourself or too lowly of me," the man answered. "I am Maxwell the summon of knowledge and all things ancient."

Liliax didn't respond, but Lexian stepped fowards.

"Then we will deal this," Lexian answered. "Triskix, take the others and continue down. We will meet you in a bit."

I looked and Lex and nodded a bit. With that, I walked down the stairs towards the second basement level before the bottom. Like the previous level, another summon stood waiting as we made our way down, but as my eyes traced downwards, I found that there were actually two summons waiting.

The first summon looked like a centaur of some sort, and his hair waved backwards in some unforsene wind. The second was a mermaid who encased her fish half in floating water.

"So you managed to beat Maxwell," the centaur nodded. "Or did you sacrifice your own to come down?"

"Neither," Sarixen answered. "Our friends are taking care of him and will be down shortly."

"You certainly have faith in them," the mermaid laughed. "But you're all doomed in the end. Origin, how about we teach these intruders a lesson."

"Indeed Udinie," the centaur named Origin answered.

"You are the intruders," Xemmsur answered. "You come into the castle and then call us intruders?"

"Silence child!" Udinie answered. "Do not disrespect a summon!"

I remained silent as did Ranx, Nevx, and Sarixen. As I looked to my right, I found that Sarixen had been looking at me as well.

"I am the summon Origin of the earth," Origin continued.

"And I am Udinie of the winding water," Udinie added.

"Triskix," Sarixen said. "I will say the same that Liliax said, take Ranx and Nevx down to the basement level, and Xemmsur and I will be with you shortly. If..." Sarixen looked it Xemmsur's direction, and Xemmsur nodded back.

"Let's go then," Ranx answered.

With that, we left Sarixen and Xemmsur to their fight.

As we trailed to the bottom-level, again two summons stood in our way. The first looked like a ball of pure electricity with eyes appearing out of it. The second looked like a woman dressed in extremely bright clothing.

"Welcome to the basement," the woman smiled, but as I heard her voice, I was sure it was a man. "You have reached the last of us. I am Sylph of the air, and this is Volt of the endless lightning."

"The last of them," I said tightening my grip on my scythe. That meant that once these two were taken care of, we could successfully continue the jail break."

Nevx, Ranx, and I stood ready as both Volt and Sylph appeared to form weapons.

Just a few footnotes on this one.

Maxwell is the summon of knowledge and ancient time. He tends to use a lot of paper and book attacks, and his main weapon is a paper doll that can transform into whatever Maxwell needs. Of all the summons, he is the oldest and one of the most dangerous.

Origin is the summon of the earth. His partner is Gnome, but in this battle he'll fight alone. Origin is very serious and determined. He fights with his bare fists or sometimes grieves, but in this fight he has a sword.

Udinie is the summon of the seas. She also has a sister of the rivers, but that summon disappeared many years ago causing Udinie to take on both roles. Udinie wields a blue/purple trident, and her water pulsation attacks can be deadly if the strike.

I'll keep the info on Volt and Sylph to myself right now xD

Also, I will be posting from each of the summon's point of views, so yes you will get to see each fight hah. I'm just making that much more work for myself lol XD Oh and Mei and Sophie feel free to post whatever ya want for Lex/everyone else and Xemmsur. I'll correspond it and still add my own feedback -.- hahahahah.
