Escape

"Tamex? Tamex? Tamex?" Lady Minx's voice slowly started to come back to me. My head pounded a bit and I shook it trying to make sense of things. I found that I was laying on the ground and that Lady Minx was staring straight at me. Forcing myself up quickly I looked around the dungeon.

"My head..." I groaned a bit rubbing my forehead.

I put my hand to my head and pulled off the bandana and goggles. Unwanted pressure left my head, and I smirked a bit. Suddenly, a hand smacked the side of my face. I blinked and looked at Lady Minx.

"TAMEX!" she said with growing irritation.

"What'd I do?" I asked turned my head straight at lady Minx.

Lady Minx's face was caught between trying to say something and not knowing exactly what to say.

"Are you forgetting where we are?" Lady Xakiah's voice suddenly said. My eyes shifted over and I looked to see her standing not far away. Suddenly it all hit me again, and I forced my way up quickly.

"We have to get out," I started.

"That is evident, but the question is...if we break down the door of this cell...will there be others waiting on the other side?" Lady Xakiah asked.

"What?" I asked.

"Never mind," Lady Xakiah answered.

Suddenly my eye caught hold of fresh scars and bruises along Lady Xakiah's arms and legs. I looked to Lady Minx and found that she had a few wounds as well.

"Let me heal those..." I said pointing to the bruises. "I'm a doctor after all."

"There is no tim-" Lady Xakiah started, but I cut her off.

"Forgive me, but as a gentleman it is my duty to make sure that all ladies are well taken care of, and if a lady is harmed, it is a duty not only as a gentleman but as a doctor to se to her," I said quickly.

Lady Xakiah seemed to blink and then shook her head again.

"Tamex..." Lady Minx started.

"It will only take a second," I continued as I started looking into each of the ladies' cells. Xakiah recoiled a bit startled, but I continued to move the liquids in the cells around until the cells began to start healing themselves. After a few moments, all the damages were healed.

"There we go," I smiled putting my hands behind my head.

Lady Minx looked over herself and then smiled back at me.

"Thanks Tamex," she started.

"No problem," I answered. "It's what a gentleman does."

Lady Xakiah didn't saw a word at first, but finally she began.

"Thanks," she said calmly, and I just nodded and smiled back.

Suddenly I realized that I was still sitting on the floor. I grabbed the side of my head and then the side of the wall and forced myself up. Lady Minx looked at me worriedly but I shook my head and smiled a bit.

"Aren't you going to heal yourself?" Lady Minx asked.

"Oh...well..." I said glancing down at my own wounds. "There are probably others in the other cells that need my medical treatment, and I can always heal myself later."

Lady Xakiah seemed to shake her head a bit, but as I started to pose the question, she refuted again.

"Let's get out of this cell first," Lady Xakiah commented.

"My turn to help," Lady Minx said suddenly.

"Hu?" I started.

Lady Minx extended her arm and suddenly a mirror formed in front of it. For a moment, she seemed to be struggling with the mirror, but then Lady Minx seemed to relax and the mirror started flying at the door. Instead of breaking the door down, the mirror hit the door and started to meld with it. Lady Minx ran over and walked straight through the mirror.

"This way!" Lady Minx yelled from the other side of the mirror. "Just don't flinch on the way through!"

Lady Xakiah seemed a bit wary of entering the mirror, but I full faith in Lady Minx and quickly ran towards the mirror. For a moment as I stepped through the mirror, I felt a surge of something strange, but then I stepped out onto the other side.

Looking around, I found that we were standing in a hallway, and three cells to the right was a door that seemed like our exit.

"We need to get everyone else out first," I started. "Minx can you do that again?"

"Sure...but....Xakiah still hasn't come through the mirror..." Lady Minx started.

I turned around and looked into the mirror barely able to see the other side. Suddenly I heard a sigh and Lady Xakiah stepped through.

"What took you so long?" I asked, but Lady Xakiah didn't answer.

"Hurry!" Lady Minx said beckoning us to the first cell that she had opened.

I stepped in and found several nobodies unconscious, quickly I began to check their vitals and injuries. Starting to heal them all, I began to force them into consciousness.

Before they could ask any questions, Laady Minx and I were on to the next cell, and after several minutes, all the nobodies were out of the cells and now crowding the hallway.

I diverted my attention to the far door.

"Everyone....er...rather...No one go that way!" I pointed towards it.

I had to stop and laugh at myself for the pun, and yet no one else seemed to laugh. I just shrugged it off and headed towards the door myself.
