It’s kinda strange how much I was finding out that Xyta was like RaXi. Doing some basic training, hand to hand combat, moves with her I could have sworn that the blonde hair in front of me was silver with a blue tint, with bright blue eyes. After a couple more basic moves that Xyta already had down really good. I asked Aidex to step up and started the basics with her, while Xyta practiced advanced moves only an ice user can do.
With Aidex watching and studying the whole time we were able to kick it up a notch more. Who knew that in a short time of observing, and with a few corrections, we were already up to practicing with different nanometers of light. Then to mix it up a bit so they wouldn’t get bored, we started a higher level game of tag, everything excepted.
I seemed like hours have passed and maybe they did. The game died off with, I don’t know how many time those two tagged teamed together against me, but finally it calmed down and we sat for a bit. Yet not for long, Xyta was up and going, training her hardest and practicing with her ice while Aidex and I cheered her on in the background.
As Xyta was about to sit down in the middle of the floor mat, and Aidex and I started to stand up to congratulate her, a familiar ‘whoosh’ was heard. We all turned to see who was coming through, and to my surprise a familiar guy with black hair and purple streaks came walking out of the portal. The portal stayed open a bit long, signaling that someone else was coming through too.
Waiting for the familiar fiery red head of hair to come out, for Lexian and him were normally not too far away from each other. I was about to yell out ‘what was taking Triskix, Xemmsur and the others so long.’ When RaXi stepped out and the portal closed behind her, meaning no one else was coming through. Flicking the thought from my head I crossed the room over to them, trying to keep my pace down and to not look too worried.
“Lex!! I am glad you’re back, and in one piece too. Um…” Hugging him it gave me a chance to look behind him, too see if somehow, the six foot one man hid behind them along with a petite girl. RaXi was looking at me oddly but no one else was there, pulling back I smiled at them and asked where everyone else was.
“RaXi is still here so… everything must be okay, right?” I said, knowing that she would be the first over there to drag their butts back.
“Lex is just here to inform us on the situation over at Oblivion. It seems like everything is still in control over there, for now.”
“What I would like to know is about your ‘mission,’ Nyx. You were the head of it, and from the minor details I received from RaXi, it sounds most interesting.” Lexian spoke up drawing my attention back to him, feeling a faint warmness come back to my cheeks.
“Ah… right.”
“Aidex, Xyta, why don’t you two go grab something to eat. We’ll follow in a bit.” I heard RaXi say opening a portal for the two. Reluctantly the two curious kids walked into the portal. They knew that something was up, but unable to do anything but watch the portal close behind them.
“So, Nyx?”
“Well, we succeeded in the mission as RaXi probably already has told you. Xerebus wishes to help out our cause, yet he cannot personally get involved. He is now in… a room inside the Castle, waiting for everyone to come back so Tanex can start the meeting. So are we heading over to Oblivion as support?” I asked smiling at Lexian.
“So he’s in the Castle, alone, in a room?” Lexian asked with a questionable face.
“He, he won’t leave, and he won’t attack anyone Lex. You have to believe me. He’s… not like that. He won’t go back on his word--”
"You're in love with him, aren't you?" Lexian stated boldly, standing tall just like his sensei. Yet a faint smirk showed, just at one corner of his lips in the all knowing since of ‘Gott’cha’.
I should have seen that coming, Lex always did like getting straight to the point. Yet, that one question blew me back. Blinking a couple of times and standing there dumbfounding for a few seconds, until the blunt words sunk in and I was able to make a coherent sentence. A light chuckle behind me gave me enough time to clear my head.
“Ah… I… ah… Well, yes; to put it very bluntly.” I said looking away and seeing almost the same look on RaXi’s face, just with a hint more wickedness in it.
“But there’s more to it too. So you’re just going to have to wait, your royal emo-ness.” I said looking back at him smirking.
So once again today I went over the story, about Erebus, known as Xerebus here, and the connection he had/has with me. I told him a bit about Martel, Erebus’s dear sister, and how much she mattered to him. And even into minor details of the end of it all, not really wanting to get too in-depth.
Lexian stood there in the same pose, if he knows it or not, he Sensei used to when he was contemplating something. Finally after a bit Lex rose his head and looked to RaXi. “RaXi.”
“It means a lot to Nyx… I already talked to him, and accepted it.” RaXi said a bit unhappy with our topic.
“Ah...had "the talk' with him already...ha..." Lexian said, as RaXi gave him a warning glare. “Hn… nice friendly chat I'm sure. Well then I guess we will just have to wait for the rest of our group to come back then.”
Nodding I figured since Lexian didn’t want to talk with Xerebus, for now, that it must be okay for Lex too. I just hoped that Tris, Xemmsur and the others will come back soon.

I know the border lines we drew between us
Keep the weapons down,
Keep the wounded safe;
I know our antebellum innocence
Was never meant to see the light of our armistice day.
