Naptime's Over

After my short nap, I woke up, disturbed by intense amount of twitching my nose was doing. Stretching by back, I realized the scent was one of fresh hostility. New members, new fights, I thought. Having nothing better to do, I decided to investigate.

As I portalled into the rise box, almost immediately, I was blasted by a wave of furious energy. I instantly switched into Tigress mode, my cat ears flattened against my head and claws unsheathed.I saw Triskix lean over the edge and shout angrily, "Setxune! Don't let your anger get the best of you. Or you will fail!" I growled lowly, not liking the vibe he was giving off.

As he turned around, he saw that the new Nobody Nyx was standing with had called forth her weapon. A fire burst to life around them, and he stalked towards her with murder in his red eyes, even as she stuttered out, "I....I....I didn't do it on purpose! I just panicked! I'll leave! I swear! I just want to leave! It was for defense! I don't belong here! Stop!"

Triskix began spouting some stupidity about the new Nobody disrespecting him and attempting to attack him. Suddenly, Nyx slapped him, and he seemed to snap out of it, but I could still smell a foreign energy around his body.

Nyx tried to talk him out of it, pleading, "Please, tell me what is going on. Even after all the time Lexian and I have been apart from you, I know you can’t change this much, Tris." But he was still advancing on her. Nyx called out for Lexian, and in the moment that Triskix was distracted, I sent out my chains to bind him.

Sneaking through the fires, they wrapped tightly around his body. The wall of fire disappeared, though his eyes still burned a crimson red as I looked into them. I could feel the binding draining my energy; Triskix was strong, abnormally so. Something was severely wrong, he shouldn't be having this much power in his body...

"You can't go 5 minutes without causing hell for someone, can you, Tris? And yet you demand order..." Lexian shouted angrily to his friend, before suddenly holding his head in his hands.

Tightening my hold on Triskix as he struggled, I turned to Nyx and the new girl. I could almost taste the fear rolling off them. "Nyx," I said in a growl, "is there anyone who can help Triskix right now?"

She nodded tearfully. "RaXi," she said, "RaXi trained under Saïx, she knows how to deal with this sort of thing. If you could find her--"

"Where might she be?" I interrupted. I couldn't hold Triskix forever.

"She's probably visiting Saïx's grave," she said. I growled in frustration. With all the commotion in the castle, I hadn't had the time to fully explore it like I wanted. I had no clue where Saïx's grave was.

I tuned her out as I quickly determined the fastest way to retrieve her. Option A, track her down myself, and risk having Triskix break my chains with Nyx and the new girl up here? Or option B, send out one of my chains to find her, and stay here just in case he broke free? The strain on my energy, in either case, would be tremendous.

Triskix let out an especially strong burst of energy, and I made my decision: Option C.

"Nyx, you know where Saïx's grave is, right?" Nyx nodded. "Then go and find RaXi, now. And take that new girl with you. She's about to faint from fear."

"But you can't possibly contain him by yourself!" Nyx exclaimed. "And what about Lexian..." She glanced over to where he leaned against the wall in pain.

"Just go!" I shouted. "The longer you take, the worse this all gets! Go!"

Without another word, she disappeared, taking the other Nobody with her. I concentrated on my task. But how much longer could I hold him in?
