I listened on to the conversation again. It sounded like it had not stopped with my fall.
"Fine, You may go on this mission. Go to the world that always was and retrieve Nyx, but don't do anything further." He was actually going to let us go, or let them go. I looked over to the group who Kyxsha decided would go.
I tried voicing my opinion again by the leader told me that if it were to be a trap then he would sent Triskix to burn the whole place in it with me in it.
"Fine by me!" RaXi answered.
I didn't whose answer was ruder. But I decided that glairing at the leader wasn't the best idea so instead I glared at Raxi before she disappeared through the portal with everyone else.
“Is there anything else you would like to mention?” The leader said turning his attention back to Xakiah.
“Oh, nothing much. It’s just that between this world and the World That Always Was is an intersection of Betwixt and Between that’s full of renegade nobodies and high-level heartless. But your allies are capable of handling those things with some ‘minor’ difficulty. The castle itself, on the other hand, is much like Castle Oblivion. Only…it’s called Citadel Abyss, and it’s literally a living maze, always altering its inner structure to confuse intruders.”
The leader looked agitated with this new information. “Perfect—thanks to you, I now have to send in another rescue party to save the first one.” After telling Triskix to take care of the problems he left. I took a deep sigh and slowly got to my feet.
"Ok then, I'm going to my room to seriously consider how messed up my life is right now. Which shouldn't take long because I already know the answer. I hope nobodies can't get ulcers because if I get one I'm blaming it on this place." I turned around and tried to hide the limp as best as I could, the pain was already starting to clear up.
"Unless, you want me to go rescue those losers?" I said turning back around to face Triskix.
Where was all this courage coming from? I never had the power to speak up to anyone.
