Level the Playing Field

My thoughts were confirmed. This Xerebus...was the leader in the World that Always Was. Yet Xakiah had no collar. Good for her... We were given permission to move forward with our plan...and Triskix was able to walk again...so I relinquished my hold on him. I went straight to the portal...I could feel someone glare at me...but I really didn't care. I had to go there...to the Castle where someone who'd been dear to me now resided.

Kyxsha lingered for a moment...but caught up soon enough. It was completely dark. As my eyes were adjusting, Kyxsha shot a bullet at me! Wait...not at me...at a heartless behind me.

"How can we fight when we can't see?" Ximh exclaimed.

"This is annoying!" I mumbled.

Kyxsha explained something about the creatures "auras" and how we could "feel" them. Yes...I knew all that...but it was hard to concentrate when I was so irritated. All of these creatures weren't going to keep me from my goal. Hundreds...thousands....I really didn't care. I'd destroy them ALL.

Kyxsha continued bashing them one by one...I couldn't see her ahead of me. Lexian was at my side...along with Ximh. They were both preparing to head in after her.

"Hold on you two." I stopped them. "I'll take care of this right now."

"RaXi...should you really..." Lexian began.

"Would you rather waste your time here? I'll do it...besides...it won't even take a fraction of my power." I smirked.

"So then you've gotten stronger. I remember when..." Lexian began again.

"Lexian...you haven't seen me for almost 10 years. Do you think I let my power decline? Oh no...I've gained abilities of which even you can't imagine." I boasted...to ease his mind. "Thing is...I need you all to move...unless you wanna die."

Ximh got the gist of it. "Kyxsha!! Come back here!"

"WHY?!" She called back.

"Just do it! We need you for a sec!" Ximh answered.

She came back fairly quickly. "What is it?!" She seemed irritated.

"This is going too slowly. Therefore, I'm going to end this quickly. I will form us a path...by destroying all in my way!" I explained. "Come to think of it...you're lightning aren't you Ximh?"

"Yeah..."

"Well then...here's my plan..." I divulged all the details and they smiled. This would work!

Kyxsha formed an air platform and lifted them up while I walked forward into the horde of heartless that swarmed before us. Gathering up a bit of my energy...I prepared to release it all at once. Putting my hands on the ground for more effect, I cried out..."STAY OUT OF MY WAY!!!!!" Ice enveloped and covered Everything before me and behind me...Everything. Turned back, I jumped up as high as I could, simultaneously shouting out, "NOW XIMH!!"

Immediately a burst of lightning hit the ice and surged through. Turning all I'd trapped within it to dust. I retracted the ice as I landed on the ground, my partners-in-action approaching.

"Well now. How was that?" I smirked. "I believe I've cleared us a rather nice gap. Though ahead...there are still some rogue nobodies...I can sense them...near the entrance to the World that Always was...."

"Show off!" Kyxsha exclaimed. "I'll show you! Just leave those nobodies to me! Got it!!!"

I smiled. I didn't care who or how we did it...I just wanted to get to the castle quickly...
