By Force!

I was pulled away by Triskix...back into the nothingness of the World Between. When he'd looked back at me...Verex had smiled so sincerely...yet all I could cry out was "Vincent! Vincent!" As I'd tried desperately to pull away from Triskix. He was the only one not affected by my touch...him and Vincent. Since they were fire...I couldn't freeze them over like anyone else...yet I struggled anyway.

"Will you..." He began looking at me.

I simply glared at him and he fell silent. "Shut up Triskix! All you care about is your order! You don't understand anything! So just shut up!" I scolded him suddenly. Xakiah walked ahead...completely oblivious to either of us. Wasn't going to get any help from her...Frustrated...I stopped struggling.

Triskix looked at me...with a look I'd never seen from him before. There wasn't anger...or hate...not even a smudge of arrogance or glee...was this...a look of concern for me? Not possible... He finally spoke. "Just who is that man to you RaXi?" He asked. "He certainly is arrogant...and foolish."

I thought about my answer. "I...don't know." I stopped...and Triskix stopped walking as well...yet his hand kept a tight grip on me. He knew that if he let me go...I'd rush back.

"Someone from your time as Ari?"

I froze hearing that name. I glared once more at him. "Don't you ever call me by that name again! You understand...Kristian?!" I growled fiercely.

He grinned at me, knowing I'd just rebuked him with his own former name. "Fair enough. Though if he isn't someone from that time...what is your attachment to him?"

"You remember Axel's last words?" I asked out of the blue. "I'm sure you do...you of all people probably replay them over and over in your mind. 'He made me feel like I had a heart...'" I quoted. "I never understood that...I even mocked and laughed at Axel for saying something so foolish....but then I met Vincent."

"So it was during the 10 years following the Organization's collapse..." Triskix commented.

"Yeah...he found me and...told me I existed..." I explained. "I dunno. Call me foolish...just like that baka Axel...but...for that time, I thought I could actually TRY to live. Instead of just recklessly rushing towards my death. Until even he was stolen from me..."

Triskix allowed me my tale. He was considerate...and didn't question or interrupt me once. When I'd told him of that stormy night. "So. Someone in Organization attire?" He deliberated. There was no more time for words. We caught sight of Nyx waving at us.

"Let me go Triskix." I mumbled. "I swear...I won't leave. We have to get back to Castle Oblivion. I understand that."

He looked at me. "You won't leave?" I didn't know what he was thinking...but he released me and we ran over to Nyx. She was injured...and while I wanted to lecture her about walking into enemy traps...I had no place to do so. For even I was so foolish.
