After taking my plate back to the kitchen, I slowly made my way through the main hall. It seemed to be fairly deserted...what with everyone out on missions now. I didn't really seem to have anything to do...I wasn't tired...or hungry...to be frank, I was rather bored now. I wished I could just go out again...at least that way I wouldn't be swamped with my "thinking". Then, I thought about checking in on Rexikat. A slight smirk crossed my lips and I stopped dead in my tracks...to change directions and head for the West Tower. I hadn't even heard the rapid footsteps approaching...I was slammed from behind.
"Hey watch-..." I started...stopping the moment I saw who it was. The one person in this place I didn't want to see... "Ugh...whatever." I stated and began to walk off.
"Halt RaXi!" He called. I knew he wouldn't just leave me be...
"Look...YOU crashed into ME...don't you dare try to lecture me about that..." I warned turning to face him.
"It's not that at all. I'm very sorry...I accept total blame. I was so distracted, I didn't see you before me." He apologized.
If I had a heart...it would've stopped. I'd be dead from shock, having such a prompt apology from HIM. Wait...he WANTS something... My eyes narrowed. If only I could see his face...I swear. "Alright...out with it..." I finally stated.
I could tell he was smirking...but he seemed slightly irritated and in a rush. "I've a mission for you RaXi."
"A mission?" I repeated....raising an eyebrow. "What kind of mission? Look, I still have to report for my last mission...I was waiting for Triskix..."
"That's it." He interjected. "Triskix is your mission."
"Triskix?!" I snarled. Getting in his face, I resisted the urge to grab him and pin him to the wall. "What have you done to him?! I swear...if something-"
"I really don't have time for your attitude RaXi!" He suddenly shouted. His voice threatened to make me silent as he had before. "Triskix is in Wonderland investigating ties to Organization Zero. But he's encountered a bit of resistance there. The fool is overly enraged. Your mission is to head there immediately and assist him. Cool him off. Ice is your specialty after all."
His voice was so arrogant and lofty. He ordered me around as though I were one of his pawns. Kept loyally in his pocket to order around when, and how he saw fit. I despised this man. Yet I would go...and he knew this full well...I twitched and backed off.
"Very well. I accept this mission." I answered coolly. Then casting a menacing glance into the chasm of his black hood, I sneered. "Hear this well. I am NOT your pawn. I don't care what power you possess...you shall NEVER have me. But one day...I will come for you..."
"I look forward to it." He stated calmly. I could tell he wasn't at all phased by my threat on his life. Then without another word, he turned and portaled to who knows where.
Without a moments hesitation, I formed a portal to Wonderland. I ended up at the edge of the forest. Just beyond it...I could clearly sense Triskix in a battle. His aura was burning so very fiercely...I could feel the flames...even at this distance. It made me shudder a bit.
Even I loathed the confusion of this world...but I wouldn't allow it to slow me down for a second. Hurrying through, I halted at the edge of a clearing. Triskix was enveloped in flames. His eyes were so filled with malice and rage...yet he was different from when I'd fought him. He was fighting for a purpose...Before him stood a small girl. She seemed confident...and was creating mirrors which somehow turned to lesser nobodies.
That explains our 'nobody infestation'. I thought. The moment I saw a break in their battle...I interjected. Freezing over the ground to the girl's nobodies...I enveloped them in ice. They became crystal statues within seconds. I then formed a box around the girl herself...a perfectly clear ice-glass box. Triskix shot me a glare...but then seemed to calm a bit...upon seeing my face. A warning glance I always gave him...one that said I wouldn't back down to anyone...not even him. His fire receded somewhat, and while his eyes remained an intense burning red...he was totally composed.
I snapped my fingers, shattering all the nobodies to dust. I then took my place at Triskix's side...without so much as a single word.
"RaXi!" Triskix growled. I kept my eyes on the enemy. Surprisingly...she hadn't moved an inch. She merely stood there within my cage, perfectly still...and smiling at me. Her eyes locked on my own. "What are you doing here? And why do you interrupt my battle?!" Triskix finished, slightly irritated.
"I'm sorry Triskix." I replied. "I come here on the Leader's orders. I am to assist you, and so I believe that's what I'm doing."
"Leader's orders?" He asked surprised. I don't know if it was because the Leader had ordered someone to assist him...or if he was just surprised I'd complied...and come immediately. "What of your mission?" He mumbled.
"A Success of course." I answered...still keeping my eyes forward. "Why do you ask...as though you're surprised I've finished it so quickly?"
"This one said she's deployed others to destroy our members." He clarified. "I thought you'd have met with resistance."
I smirked. "As a matter of fact...I did." Now I was a little angry. I took a step forward. "So you thought those two could seriously defeat ME!" I spoke loudly. "They were but children...just as you are. Children who've NO IDEA who they're up against!"
At this she laughed...it made me twitch. "You're so very amusing...really! Hehehe..."
My eyes slanted and I looked at Triskix. "Who is this foolish girl?"
"Her name is Minx." Triskix grimaced. "She claims to be the Number II of her Organization."
"WHAT?!" I stepped back. "Number II....heh..." I started laughing. At this...she seemed slightly disturbed. Mirrors shot up within my box, surrounding the inside and the outside. She stepped through one of them and formed several more before me.
This wasn't what she'd been doing earlier...I tried to analyze the situation...to figure out how she would strike. Suddenly the mirrors burst into flames and Triskix smashed them to pieces with his reaper. He stood before me defensively.
"Don't gaze too deeply into them. They're deceiving." He warned. "And more dangerous than they appear."
I smirked and stepped up beside him. "Very well then. I won't give them a chance to fully form next time. Shall we end this quickly then?" I asked forming my sword.
"Even if there are two of you...you still can't win!" Minx shouted confidently coming out of another one of her mirrors. She'd escaped my cage...as I'd expected.
"Yet Triskix alone has nearly defeated you..." I commented. "Are you so arrogant as to think you can defeat BOTH of us? You really don't know who I am...do you? I am not one of these NEWLY FORMED Nobodies you've come to know so well. Oh no...I've had 16 years to hone MY POWER! Remember this name well. RaXi of Organization Oblivion!"
She looked only slightly shocked. Or perhaps she hid her true thoughts well. I didn't care. I would teach this child her place. I charged in first with a slight nod to Triskix. Now we would see if we still worked well as a team. After all these years.
I made the first move, aiming to slash her with my sword. Yet, as expected, she blocked me with several formed mirrors. I shattered them immediately. I wouldn't be able to get close to her like this. All I could do was take a position opposite of Triskix, then we'd be able to attack simultaneously. I was sure if we could take this approach...she wouldn't be able to keep up with us long.
In position...I waited for Triskix to make the next move.
