At the Bar

"Fancy meeting someone similar in a place like this...but,I know your secret"
I couldn't move, as he spoke those words i had a million of my deepest darkest secrets pass through my mind that i never wished ANYONE to know. I turned to him in the calmest manner i could muster as his words still wrung in my ears.

"And what exactly is that?" I had lost control over my voice for a second, but thankfully i simply sounded like a boy whoes voice was breaking... i was a little too old for that but hopefully i would still be able to pass as a male, to all those around me.
He leaned in close yet again, i could feel his breath against my neck.
"With boobs that size it's hard NOT to tell your a girl." He indicated to my chest, until now i hadn't realized that it was plainly obvious i was a girl.

"I'll have another," He placed his empty glass on the bar and then looked at me as he continued talking to the bar keep. "and give the lady here another one of whatever she's drinking." he placed his arm gently around my shoulders, i couldn't help but ingulf his scent. He had the Aroma of a man who valued hygiene, which personally was a good thing. Before i got down from the stool i turned to the bar keep.
"Just a glass of water will be fine." I discontinued my sharade, it was no use... though i did continue to hide my nobody presence, from this other... at least until i knew more about him.

We walked over to where he was sitting before. His little corner seemed to be merley someplace that was comfortable to lounge the day away in, but once you sat down it was plain to see that he had chosen this spot for a reaon. From here he could see the enitre bar and everyone in it, he could monitor the patrons and yet not bother them, plus it was next to a wall.... he was able to see all that was infront of him and he would never have his back exposed.

He sat down in the corner with his back against the wall, i think he wanted me to sit opposite him but like him i didn't trust anyone to my back so i sat beside him. He raised an eyebrow but seemed to agree with me. No one should be trusted with something that you hold dear, whether it be your money or you life.

As we sat and watched for a second the bar keep came a placed our drinks down infront of us... i looked at my glass of water.. or should i call it Mud. There was not an ounce of clarity to it and it was the furthest thing from water i'd ever seen. Then of it's own accord the dirt started to leave the water and went on the ground i stared at the glass until i noticed the smile that began creeping up on my companies face.

"You control Earth?" i asked until we had sat down my breathing had been heavy and my breaths were shallow, i had thought it was due to the man i now sat next to but...
"Yes, i can control earth, rocks... sand." I continued to look at him if he wasn't imparining my breathing then who was??
"What's your name?" I asked him, i looked into his eyes and i could see a hurt in them that seemed out of place.
"I'm Yamil, and you are?" I blurted out my name before i was able to catch myself.
"Kyxsha"
"Ahh, so your like those others... the ones with X's in their names... if you have come to enlist me in your group i shall not join, I unlike you refuse to have an X in my name.. i am not a heartless monster.."
"And what says i am? i may not have a heart but it does not mean i am a monster. i am like you..."
"No you have chosen an X in your name... you are not like me."
"If i am not like you then why did you say we were similar?"
"I don't know.... I felt it in the place where my heart should reside..."

I looked at him as he placed his hand on his chest i couldn't help but feel it too. The emtyness that a heart creates when it's gone. I took a sip from my glass and with that i lowered my guard.... He wasn't going to harm me, for i too felt it in my chest, in the empty hole that my heart used to reside.

He felt me relise my guard, now he could tell clearly that i was a nobody and that i was as powerful as him. He took a drink from his glass then stood up, and streched his hand out to me.

"This isn't a place for a lady, whether she has a heart or not... i shall walk you to your place of rest. Agraba at night is no place for a person to walk alone."

We walked out of the ar together and into the now cool night. As any geentlman he held out his arm for me to hold onto... and with that we walked into the night
