Triskix nearly laughed at me about my comment of stealing his spotlight. I smirked at him seeing the humor in his eyes. He added his two cents after agreeing on my plan of action, and we all prepared to portal off on our own ways. Nyx and Xemmsur nodded over at me and stepped through their portal with Aidex in tow, Lexian headed down below my chair to collect Anamx...and yet I lingered a moment. I couldn't take my eyes off Triskix.
Why was I worried about him? I shouldn't be yet....after the Leader's display...how strange he was acting...I knew Triskix would feel the brunt of his foul mood. Then there was the issue of Anamx. More memories would be unleashed upon Triskix and Lexian...painful memories...biting memories...
"RaXi?" Triskix broke my thoughts, his eyes narrowed as if analyzing my expression. Only then did I realize I'd been staring...outright STARING.
"Take care of the castle..." I said quickly.
"Don't talk to me like that," He objected. "I'm not a kid anymore."
I knew that...oh how I knew it. "Still, Take Care Triskix..." I conveyed sincerely.
Xyta pulled down her eyelid and stuck her tongue out at Triskix as I opened a portal. I shook my head and stifled a giggle...but didn't really scold her as we stepped through. In moments we were on the other side, the main hall of the castle.
"Where are we going?" Xyta said with a huff. I could tell instantly...she was thoroughly dissatisfied with me separating her from Aidex.
"I lead...you follow." I stated flatly. I was going to find Ayrax. Only with her abilities would I be able to secure Rexikat's current location. We walked briskly through the halls as I followed Ayrax's energy towards the dining hall. Suddenly I slowed my pace as another Nobody came into view from down at the end of the hall. My eyes narrowed as I examined him coming ever closer. I got the feeling I recognized this nobody's energy...and as I got a better look, I was SURE of it.
"Setxune?!" I called out in realization. He turned his head up from staring at the ground in shock. "It is you! You've grown!"
"RaXi...." He mumbled. "No way. I haven't seen you for almost...what...two years? I thought you'd still be researching with Vincent. What happened?"
The smile on my face slowly melted away. "Vincent is..."
"Yeah yeah, nice reunion but we have a MISSION." Xyta suddenly scolded, her arms crossed. "I'd like to get this over with and get back, you know?"
"She's right unfortunately..." I spoke slowly. "Setxune, this is my new apprentice Xyta. Xyta, this is Setxune...an old acquaintance."
"Acquaintance?!" Setxune rebuked. "Oh I see...still can't say the word can you? Old FRIEND."
My eyes wandered over to the wall. "Never-mind the technicalities, we'll have to catch up later. I DO have an important mission right now...in fact...would you like to help me out Setxune? I don't really know what I'll run into...it'd be nice having another sword at my side."
"Sure I'm up to it. Not much to do HERE." Setxune commented. He really hadn't changed too much...he still wore that same expressionless look. Yet I'd known him too long to NOT know what he was thinking...his blank face could fool everyone else in the world...but not me.
"Well then let's get going. I have to talk with Ayrax, but then we'll be heading out...so...if you have anything to grab, now's the time."
"Nah, you know I don't carry anything, I have all that I need." He denied.
"As do I."
Without further hindrance we found and approached Ayrax. She had just finished a meal and seemed extremely bored. I smiled slightly as I walked up. "Hello there Ayrax. I have a favor to ask of you...think you could help me out?"
Ayrax looked up and seeing it was me, smiled widely. "RaXi! Sure! Anything for you!"
I smiled. "Glad to hear that. I need some help finding Rexikat. I don't know where she is...I thought that would be your area of expertise. That ability of yours...really is quite special."
She seemed happy having me praise her. When I had saved her all those years ago...I must've left quite an impression. Yet back then, I hadn't really done that much...I just stopped someone from picking on her...it was just in my nature to do so.
Closing her eyes, we waited for her. Nearly five minutes of sifting through worlds...she had results. Apparently Rexikat was in a secluded world...perhaps one of a Nobody's own making. This Pashnirix's perhaps. Ayrax informed us that Rexikat was currently inside the castle of that world. That was really all I needed to know. Sincerely thanking her for her assistance I opened a portal and the three of us left Oblivion.
I had been able to avoid the shadow path between our worlds, appearing quite a distance from the large stone castle. This world was beautiful...it reminded me of somewhere I'd traveled to long ago.
"Heh....this looks like something straight out of a fairytale. You know, the dragon and the princess type story." Setxune commented glancing at the nearby caverns.
"Yeah...I actually agree with that." Xyta laughed.
I smirked. "Doesn't matter. If Rexikat is here, we will find her and discover just WHAT is going on. I'm not sure she's here against her will...but be aware. If she IS being held captive...we will most likely be in for a battle. In that scenario...stay close to me Xyta."
Xyta looked into my eyes and nodded seriously. I was shocked...no sarcastic remarks. When it came to serious matters...Xyta was serious. Soon I would understand her more...over time.
"Well let's get moving. I doubt you want to portal closer. If you did...you would've put us at the gates to begin with. But from the looks of it...we have a long walk now." Setxune conveyed starting to walk.
"The price of remaining undetected." I smirked.
We started our long walk...unsure of just what we'd find when we reached the castle. I just hoped I wasn't in for a battle...and more importantly...that Rexikat was alright.
